We had the good fortune of connecting with Sue Frederick and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sue, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I reached a point in my successful journalism career (as executive editor of magazines) that my work was no longer deeply meaningful to me; I knew I needed to reinvent. Yet I stayed in the career because I was a single mom and wanted a steady income. I was laid off in the 1999 crash of the dot.com world; I’d been promoted to VP of Content for health websites and when that world crashed so did my career. In that dark night of the soul, I realized that all I knew to be true about myself is that I’d been helping people with spiritual wisdom, intuition and numerology for 20 years – but giving it away for free to friends. Yet, it was my gift and I wanted to make my living from it. Against all odds and in spite of everyone telling me I’d never succeed, I built a website and started giving free talks everywhere about using intuition and soul’s mission to find our true work.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I teach clients and students to lift above the ego view of their lives and recognize their powerful soul mission and what they’ve come here to accomplish. My work with intuition and numerology is very practical and specific. There’s nothing woo woo about it. I guide top level executives in all industries as well as everyday people who’ve arrived at a reinvention point and need a fresh perspective. My work and books ( I See Your Dream Job; I See Your Soul Mate; Your Divine Lens, etc) teach people how to see their life and career in a way that empowers them to step up to their gifts and create meaningful work. My greatest gift is the ability to help grieving people see their loss as their moment of spiritual awakening that empowers them to create a meaningful life. Grief has been my greatest teacher. My books, sessions, classes and podcast called Mystical Conversations are a great source of healing for anyone who is grieving.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I always take my visiting friends hiking; the mountains are a spiritual refuge that empowers us to get back in touch with our higher selves and inner wisdom.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I learned to meditate in the 70s and have been meditating daily since then. My shout out is to the power and wisdom we derive from daily meditation – which gets us in touch with our higher self, our inner God Consciousness and powerful intuitive knowingness. My ultimate shoutout is to my own higher self and inner God Consciousness – which I access through daily meditation. Everyone has this ultimate flawless inner guidance and that’s what we each need to listen to. Daily meditation quiets the mind and opens the heart to put us in the flow of this divine wisdom. It’s the only guidance we need to live our best life.
