We had the good fortune of connecting with Taylor Philibeck and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Taylor, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Years back I experienced an important loss in my life, my mother passed away. Throughout my grieving process, I created art to help me release my emotions and heal. I shared my journey through various forms of art on social media. With time, my audience grew and I ended up connecting to thousands of people who were experiencing a loss in their life. Knowing I was helping others healthily grieve through art, it made me pursue this full time. Being an artist has led me on a path of helping other’s heal, and that fills my heart with purpose. I had never imagined my journey having such an impact on other’s, but knowing it does keeps me inspired.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My partner Noah and I started our business Paradox Palms full time earlier this year. Although we are new, we’ve been preparing for this for three years. We are proud to be helping others get in tune with their emotions and spirituality via psychic readings, candles, paintings, jewelry and photography. We often do personalized art inspired by our customers energy which helps us form strong connections with them, along with having one of a kind art pieces. We feel that the individuality of each piece of art, helps us stand apart from other creators. We are excited to branch out through our various forms of social media, to share our journey and process. We love seeing the positive impact our business makes on our supporters. This journey has not been easy, especially because we started this business at the start of the pandemic. We have had many trials and errors, some of which were caused by this economic crisis. This caused an inconsistent income and had us questioning if we were capable of building the business we had been longing for. We had to learn to adapt and be patient with the changes of the world. Nonetheless our support system has been steadily growing, which gives us hope that we are heading in the right direction. It has been rewarding finding ways to connect to others through a time of disconnection. We want people to know our business is a safe place, and we are open to communication with our supporters. We are not only gaining customers, but life long connections. My psychic readings and spiritual advice urges other’s find their passions and gifts. Our ultimate goal is to implement new ways of connecting to your highest self and excite your inner artist.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am heavily influenced by the environment, and it is where I find most of my inspiration. I feel most at home, when I am in the mountains or outside creating art. I often take my friends to Lake Dillon and Mount Evans to find the freedom, you may not get anywhere else. I often search for places that are not heavily crowded, to have time spent with the people I love in serene energy. I always love ordering food from Native Foods and T-Mamas Gourmet, because both have vegan options. I often take my orders into the rolling hills of Golden or nearby parks like Cherry Creek State Park, to enjoy my meal with fresh air. I feel the more exciting parts of Denver, are where the antique stores hide. Friends and family who visit, fall in love with the treasures they find. There is always something unique hiding somewhere, you just need to drive around to find it.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My partner Noah has been on this journey with me. He has been behind majority of my photoshoots and ideas for our business, Paradox Palms. He is my biggest supporter and motivator. Whenever I am going through an art rut, he is there to help inspire me. I couldn’t have created a lot of my ideas without the help from his. Putting our minds together, makes me feel more powerful and supported. There are never ending opportunities with him by my side. We recently started a podcast, Psychic Paradox, where we talk about our spiritual and creative journey as a couple.
