We had the good fortune of connecting with Ted Ifantis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ted, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Having a 30-year career in aviation and 19 years as a professional airline pilot I have a passion for systems such as Electrics, Hydraulics, and Pneumatics. I have always wanted to build my own company and strive for excellence. I have felt like I can make an impact on society by providing solutions and needs to current problems and at the same time providing good-paying jobs. Having a passion for others and the excitement of everyday business made me want to go full speed ahead and pursue my dreams.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My company SuperCharge is taking the lead as a small business and venturing into a highly capital-intensive business of building EV Charging. I am proud to have strong belief in providing solutions to the EV Charging landscape. Being a small business owner we have to get scrapy and smart to build out our locations at much lower costs and being profitable at the same time. It has been a difficult road to get to this point. Severe obstacles and challenges but ultimately, we survive and persevere. Remain focused. With the support of my wife and family to provide guidance and help offering solutions to challenges.

Some of the lessons I have learned is to be resilient. Dont take NO as a answer! There are many ways to work a problem and offer solutions. Never ever give up. The world needs to know that SuperCharge will be the premier EV Charge network in the world. My company will enter all verticals and aspects of the renewable energy landscape.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I live in Highlands Ranch, but my favorite spot is Cherry Creek. I would take them to Cherry Creek Grill for lunch to start! LOVE the seared tuna salad! Walk around and take in the cute scenery and village area of Cherry Creek. I would next plan a dinner at the Hungry Goat in Morrison while going to Red Rocks that evening for a concert! The rest of the week I would go to Denver Botanical Gardens, LoHi, and Larimer Street in Downtown to catch a game at Coors Film. Don’t forget the town of Golden and scheduling a tour at the Coors Factory!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
James Clegern of Kineticore. James has been both educational and professional in sharing his knowledge and expertise in the EV Charge industry.
