We had the good fortune of connecting with Teegan Sierra and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Teegan, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Being a stay-at-home mom, I wanted a way to pursue my own vision while still keeping family at the center. Coffee became my comfort in the hardest moments, and from there, the idea for Cleo Noir naturally bloomed.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets Cleo Noir apart is the intentionality behind everything we do and my advocacy for women owned businesses. I proudly partner with Copper Door Coffee Roasters, a women owned roastery that sources from mostly women owned farms around the world. Supporting women in this industry is something that’s really important to me, and I love that my business can reflect that.
I’m most proud of building something that not only reflects my creativity but also gives me the flexibility to be present as a mom.

Getting here hasn’t been easy. Starting a business takes grit, late nights, and plenty of trial and error. There were times I questioned if I could really make it work, but I kept reminding myself of my ‘why.’ Coffee carried me through sleepless nights as a new mom, and it’s now the passion that fuels my work.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that growth doesn’t happen overnight. Consistency and heart are everything.

What I want the world to know, especially other mothers, is that you can build something outside of motherhood that you’re proud of. Motherhood can be all consuming in the best ways, but it’s easy to lose yourself. Cleo Noir has been my way of creating something that’s mine while still keeping family at the center.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting, I’d start our day with coffee at Perfect Blend in Parker, a cozy woman-owned café. Then we’d enjoy brunch at Olive and Finch, shop at Inspire Boutique, and get permanent jewelry at Bronzed + Bonded before unwinding with a drink at Lady Justice Brewing. I love highlighting these spots because supporting women-owned businesses is so important — it helps empower women entrepreneurs and build stronger communities.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’m so grateful for the people who’ve supported me along the way! My mom for always cheering me on, Nick for standing by me through it all, my brother Taylor for being encouraging and such a great role model as a business owner, and my son Luca, who inspires me every day
