Hi Vialet B, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I launched my business in 2017 after marrying my husband. I had been working really hard focused on my career in Human Resources. My career path led me to Human Resources because I loved working with people and making a difference in their life. The one aspect that I did not like was being responsible for phases of downsizing and restructuring organizations because it always impacted the people.

During my life, I had also experienced being excluded from religious and spiritual organizations. I did not fully understand “why” that someone would intentionally exclude someone based on beliefs, prejudices, and bias. My heart wanted to create a sacred space for individuals to feel safe and included to express themselves and to become empowered in their lives.

I believe that everyone is sacred and loved by the Divine Creator. We are meant to have joyous and abundant lives. This does not mean that are experience with perfect without challenges. Our challenges allow us to evolve and grow spiritually.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I have spent four decades designing, developing, and delivering adult education. My experience has included employee development, manager/executive training, undergraduate and graduate business/Human Resources classes, etc.

#1. We offer professional, fun, interactive in-person education on a variety of spiritual topics and interests.

This allowed me to shift my focus on spiritual, metaphysical, and esoteric teachings. I have designed curriculum and written books for over 40+ spiritual programs including the teachings within my Sacred Temple Mystery School. We are a Spiritual Education & Mystery School in South Denver that offers a wide-variety of classes and programs for spiritual seekers. Discover Your Spiritual Gifts has 25+ programs each month. I teach 10-15 classes along with other individuals teaching their spiritual programs at the center.

We offer Reiki programs, Psychic Development, Angel programs, Energy & Sound Healing, Shamanic Programs, Sound Baths, Women’s Circles, Belly Dancing, Animal Communications, Akashic Record Readings, etc. The Sacred Temple Mystery School offers Sacred Priesthood, Sacred Alchemy, Warriors of Light, and Tree of Wisdom.

#2. We offer an inclusive community of like-minded individuals.

Our students are given the opportunity to connect with other liked minded individuals in a safe and supportive environment. I always provide introductions in all of my classes and programs. The students have gained long-term friendships within in the community. It is important to us to create space for people to connect and support each other.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
When friends come into visit and they are interested in what I do . . . . . I will always invite the to attend one or more of the programs that I am offering at the center including scheduling a session with one of the practitioners that work at the center. I tend to be teaching or leading 3-5 programs every week.

Some of the other things that I love to do are:
– A trip to the mountains
– Check out the hot springs
– A day at WaterWorld
– A day at Renaissance Festival

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My husband, Tom Herold, and daughter, Nikki Milton have made this dream possible for me. I would not have been able to accomplish this dream without their continuous support. We have experienced many challenges over the year including: a flood with water damage to the center, pandemic outbreak, shift in the retail market, and push to re-engineer and downsize the business.
