Meet Kelsee Elkins | Creator of So This Is Love Socials

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kelsee Elkins and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kelsee, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
So This Is Love Socials was born in July of 2023. After being on “iPhone duty” (taking behind the scenes photos and videos on my phone) for a few friends’ weddings, I did some research and discovered this process was actually an emerging media service called Wedding Content Creation. I was immediately drawn to the concept of delivering hundreds of candid photos and videos shortly after a client’s wedding day. I have experience in photography, marketing, and capturing my own memories-yes I have the cringy YouTube videos to prove it-so this job seemed to pull together strengths and interests that I already had. Honestly, starting a business was nerve-wracking to me. What if I don’t book any clients? What if my friends and family don’t understand or support what I’m doing? What if I fail? I wrestled through all of these questions with my wonderful husband, Jaydon, and I can’t thank him enough for listening to and encouraging me. In the end, we determined that my desire to provide couples with memories that will last a lifetime outweighed those fears in my head. Wedding Content Creation is a service I found revolutionary in the world of wedding media coverage, and I wanted to be apart of it.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
So This Is Love Socials is a wedding content creation business that delivers behind the scenes photos and videos of your wedding day within 24 hours. I strive to capture the little details while seamlessly working alongside your other wedding vendors. A common misconception is the wedding content creation is a service only for influencers. This is so not the case! In fact, I have yet to have an influencer client, but if you are one, hit me up :). Rather than being primarily for social media, the photos and videos I capture prioritize candid memory capturing. It’s about the unposed moments that genuinely show what your wedding day was like. Scrolling through your gallery means seeing glimpses of your special day, frozen in time. So This Is Love Socials provides compassionate and professional service, seeking to provide your with exactly what you’re looking for. Comparatively, I provide more edited TikToks/Reels than most wedding content creators, because I believe those little compilation videos are the precious memories you’ll look back on for years to come. Booking with me is also an incredibly personal experience. I want to hear about your love story and your vision for your day. It is important to me that we have a genuine relationship and not just a business transaction.

One recent accomplishment I am proud of is exceeding my 2024 weddings goal. In January I decided my goal of 2024 was to capture 10 weddings. 3 months into 2024, I exceeded that goal and now currently have 13 weddings booked. I am so grateful for every single couple that has chosen me to capture their wedding day and I hope to continue booking even more weddings in the months to come!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Between the years 2019 and 2023, I lived in Colorado, California, Kansas and Arizona, so I have a lot of friends in a lot of places. Hence, it’s not hard to imagine one of those long distance friends coming for a little taste-of-Colorado trip. There are four necessary spots where I would take my visiting friend. First, is Pearl Street in Boulder. Growing up in Longmont, I was an avid Boulder visitor growing up and I absolutely love the city. Pearl Street is full of quirky shops, delicious food, and it’s a lovely people-watching spot. Second would be Sweet Cow Ice Cream. I grew up as a competitive jump roper (that’s a story for another time) and our gym was right down the street from a Sweet Cow. I have so many fond memories getting ice cream after practice and sitting outside on their cute patio. Sweet Cow flavors are so unique and it’s absolutely a Colorado staple. Third, we would visit Breckenridge. The famous crepes, the adorable coffee shops, and the care-free mountain vibes are hard to beat. And finally, we would catch a concert at the famous Red Rocks Amphitheater of course. As a Colorado Native who did spend some time living in other states, I am a strong advocate for this state being a pretty darn good one.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
So This Is Love Socials has blossomed thanks to the community I have surrounding me. There are many people I could discuss regarding the success of my business. One person I want to highlight is my high school sweetheart, Jaydon, who I married almost two years ago. Our wedding definitely catapulted me into my love for the industry. Jaydon has walked through every step of this process with me and I am so grateful. He’s the level-headed to my emotional craziness and this balance he brings to my life also carries into So This Is Love Socials. I appreciate him logically walking me through problems and complications and encouraging me in my creativity. Second, I’d like to thank my friends Tanna, Liz, Ashlyne and Jillie who were some of my first clients. They let me capture their weddings and allowed me to further discover this passion I have. Finally, I want to give glory to God for the way He has crafted this story together. I am a Christian and I believe that God formed me and you with specific, beautiful qualities that He wants us to positively impact the world with. This job allows me to piece together so many aspects of who I am while helping others remember such a significant day in their lives. My relationship with God is real and a pillar of who I am. Many prayers have been poured into growing this business and I am so grateful He’s given me this opportunity. So This Is Love Socials is built upon these wonderful individuals who have supported and stuck by me and I am so blessed!
