We had the good fortune of connecting with Weston Flowers and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Weston, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted a platform to be able to help more people. Helping people is the cornerstone of my life today. It brings me peace and contentment. Starting my business has given an avenue to many people to start a new way of life, free from the bondage of addiction.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I was an active heroin and cocaine addict for years, always in and out of treatment centers and jails. I could tell countless horror stories from my tenure in addiction. But I’ll save us all some time.. In 2019 I was the most miserable I had ever been in my life. I didn’t know how to not use. Something pushed me to ask for help and I did. I got the help I needed and completely dedicated myself to recovery. It was a lot of intense work, but I began to experience true hope for my recovery for the first time in my life. I want to inspire that kind of change in individuals. In 2020 I landed my first professional role in the industry of addiction treatment. I haven’t lost my “why” and I don’t plan to. I simply love helping people recover. I co-founded my company revenant recovery in 2023. And we’ve been providing sober living for men seeking recovery since. We’re constantly adding services to help more people.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We’d snowboard Copper or Breckenridge. We’d get breakfast at Breakfast at bacon social in Littleton, lunch at chop shop in Englewood, and dinner at Campfire Lakewood or sushi den in wash park. Maybe a morning coffee at Stella’s coffee haus in wash park.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Spero Recovery Center in Evergreen gave me the mentorship I needed to start my own business. Spero has helped countless people recover and regain their lives. Spero continues to do invaluable work with those seeking freedom from addiction. And the support and teamwork from my business partner tye. To the moon brother!”
