We had the good fortune of connecting with Zane Tattooz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Zane, what do you attribute your success to?
Honestly consistency, self-care and being yourself. It’s obviously much harder said than done but I’m a true believer that if you stay authentic to yourself, you truly love what you’re making your brand about and what you’re selling and you consistently stay in progress in love of whatever it is that you are selling that your brand will succeed. I believe this is balanced in with self-care just bc you might get burnt out doing something with so much risk that you hate or are not fully into. Then I would say working out meditation eating right ect staying spiritual and grounded whatever your belief may be. I would say these collectively are the reason for the success behind my brand.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Oh man where do I start haha as far as what sets me apart I would say my drive level is definitely a big part of it you can ask my coworkers I’m at our shop almost every day by choice and am always looking at how to take the next step. For example this year I’ve been at the shop every day except for one on top of going to the gym 5 days a week. That’s honestly how I got to where I am and no it’s definitely not easy i’m at a point where I feel like I’m just an okay tattoo artist honestly and getting here was extremely difficult and took a lot of sacrifice I plan to continue to go up but it’s been the hardest thing I’ve ever done, love it to death though the more I learn the more I realize I don’t know haha! The biggest challenge was definitely building a clientele at first I’m not from Colorado and I did not have a social media presence whatsoever when I first came out here took alot of time to build the platform I have now. Which ties into what I’m most proud of, being able to live full-time off of art that I love I will never take it for granted I truly am living my dream. I want people to see myself and my brand and be inspired to do whatever it is that they love and to be themselves doing it no matter how werid it may seem.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well honestly as a music lover we would be exploring all the beautiful music venues that Colorado has to offer. I’m a huge fan of the mission ballroom and red rocks, as far as the food goes you know we gotta hit Chubby’s and Collision Brewery in Longmont. Then get in the mountains to go for some mountain biking and tie off the week with a tattoo down at Sharkys Paradise! Colorado overall in my opinion is the most fun place to be.

Honestly I have to give a huge shoutout to my crew at Sharkys Paradise the shop I reside at in Longmont! This crew gave me a chance and took me in when a lot of people were not sure about doing so, thank you guys. Can’t forget god and my parents I would be nothing without them. Love you mom and dad. Oh yeah and Kobe of course gotta have the mamba mentality.
