We had the good fortune of connecting with Zeke Baker and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Zeke, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
From a young age I’ve been attracted to music and fashion and how I can use it to express and define myself as a person. Im a model and hoping to be a fashion influencer while I keep releasing music and developing my skill.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Music and fashion are both massively oversaturated and popular at the moment, my goal is to express myself as an artist, as an individual, and I believe my honesty and truth, and not needing to fit the cookie cutter mold that so many artists are stuck in, is what sets me apart. I’ve slowly started getting more and more streams, and with my new modeling contract and music videos I’m working on I hope to gain some exposure and keep growing. I will never give up, and never slow down, music and fashion is my passion and its not about the streams or money, its about using music as an outlet, and expressing myself as an individual, unapologetically.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I lived in Colorado most of my life, and id say one of my favorite basic spots to go is pearl street, its got live music, performers, great food, and interesting people and places to shop. It takes some looking to find the good spots but thats what makes it so worth it.
Having moved to LA recently, at 19 years old, i’m only just now getting to the tip of the iceberg but my favorite spots are All You Can Eat Sushi and Barbeque for cheap yet delicious all you can eat. I love to go on nature walks whether that be in griffith park or Baldwin Hills/Culver Stairs; And the Broad is always a great free art viewing experience, especially when they have special exhibits.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family has always supported me and my passions, wether it be financially or emotionally. They helped me finalize my move to LA, and always told me to never give up. My aunt uncle and parents helped me make connections and meet people to help my career.
