The Coronavirus has given many us an opportunity to pause and think about life, our purpose, and even the right work life balance. What’s your perspective and has it changed over time?

Work life balance. In the industry I work in, hospitality, typically work life balance was achieved through late night hangouts and sleeping late to account for those late nights. Allowing yourself to release from your mental connection to your job was much easier before taking the jump to a salaried employee over an hourly.
The ability to walk out of a building and have no further consequences of that businesses success on my shoulders made it easy to separate and have more time to have out-of-work rest and relaxation. Read more>>

When thinking about how my work-life balance has changed over time, especially this past year and a half I must laugh, maybe so I don’t cry? During this pandemic, work, school, and health concerns have claimed households. We have trained our brains that our home equals work. Like many, I have found it challenging to find work-life balance when my home also became my office/library/gym/restaurant/bar/movie theater/dog park/doctor’s office/etc. I was constantly checking my work email since I was constantly home without any social events on the calendar for the foreseeable future. My balance has completely changed over time.
