Petals & Pages strives to be more than just a bookstore. We are also a community space where people can come and feel safe, welcomed, and seen. We host a variety of community events such as book clubs, trans+ community game nights, open mics, and more. This space is the first of its kind, offering classes, workshops, and complete herbal hands on sessions such as tea blending, infused oils, body scrubs and more! Our studio offers herbal empowerment and education to those who seek holistic health care and wellness alternatives! Historically, limited education and disempowerment have impeded women’s advocacy for their own health. In our modern world, we’ve normalized the act of distracting ourselves and resorting to medications to numb physical pain and emotional turmoil in order to maintain productivity. In result, we’ve forged a toxic relationship with our menstrual cycles, deeming them a hindrance to our hyper-productive lifestyles. Union Colony Children’s Music Academy (UCCMA) was founded in 1989 as the first early childhood music and movement program in Northern Colorado. Currently, UCCMA offers music and movement classes to children from birth to young adult and to adults with developmental disabilities.
UCCMA’s mission is to provide an opportunity for all children and families to experience the benefits and joys of music and movement. There is an old saying that says the best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago; the next best time is now. As a yoga, spiritual and holistic teacher, I help people, particularly women, find their inner wisdom, voice and claim back their health. We live in a society where information is constantly being shoved in our face, when really the wisdom lives within each and every one of us.
