My greatest inspiration comes from handmade vernacular tools and objects, especially those made in places/times when these pieces were used every day and often as a means for survival. I am also committed to using only natural materials and the wood I use is often from less than 20 miles of my home. Beyond the wood, metal hardware and more tangible materials; my finishes and glues are also made with natural ingredients – many of them recreated according to recipes I’ve discovered from times before most of the toxic chemicals available today were available, some even as far back as the 16th Century. I am constantly inspired by women and babies every day. As I dive into more research or add more education to my belt, I find myself in awe of how we were created, and how everything truly works together in a natural form. I am inspired by women who grow their children in their wombs, birth them, and then care for them. When we allow our bodies to do what they were made to do, our babies follow us and its this beautiful give-and-take process between the two. Women and babies inspire me. Read more>>

At NoCoast, we are inspired by the success of our community and the individuals within. Our community is what drives us and what sets us apart! Therefore, it is changing people lives, seeing transformations happen (physically, mentally, and emotionally) that reminds us of why we do what we do. CrossFit is half the amazing workouts and half the amazing people and community that is built within the walls of the gym. We inspire our members and they, in turn, inspire us.
