I’m most inspired by simple things. Patterns formed by water ripples, the way grass and leaves glow when hit by the sun at sunset, the patterns of mudcracks and termite tracks, to name a few. The world is seriously amazing in its creative patterns. Usually I find myself observing these things and feeling really enthralled. Read more>>

I believe inspiration can be found everywhere! I find myself deeply inspired by color – colors magazine pages, business signs, gardens, interior paint sample brochures, and even walking the isles of the grocery store looking at packaging! I love discovering new artists and crafters on Instagram or YouTube as well. Personally, one of the most impactful ways I find inspiration is through nature. Nature gives me peace, fills my soul, clears my mind, lets my imagination run wild, and my creative thoughts explode. I love taking my watercolors, stamped images, or pens and sketchbook with me while I sit in the forest, a meadow, or next to a river and get lost in the creative process that unfolds. When I leave I feel refreshed and energized, with renewed motivation to create. Read more>>

Being a creative individual and photographer I am always inspired by my environment. I believe that an individual’s upbringing and life experiences are what will eventually shape them into the individual they become and the environment plays a big role. As a photographer, I am always inspired by the environment I’m in. It may be a national park or the business I am photographing for. Growing up in the Midwest; has as shaped my style as an artist and what I love to photograph, Normally you will not find me in a large metropolitan environment. I spend a lot of time photographing rural communities, individuals, and their businesses. My environment played a big role in this and steered me in the direction of my business. The environment I photograph in gives me the inspiration I need to create images I create. If I am working on a farm photographing an individual, I won’t choose a location that does not help tell the individuals or busnisses story. Read more>>
