The tactile delight of a soft juicy brush slipping over thick textured paper leaving a glorious trail of vibrant colour – how can than not make a heart happy? Giving myself permission to play with art supplies and let go of any expectation was one of the best things I have ever done for my mental health. These days we do so much digitally. It makes me happy to share beautiful moments with the people I love and to see them happy and healthy. The things that make me happiest are generally any activity that gets me out in nature. And sharing those experiences with my wife and kids increases the joy I derive from them exponentially. Of course I also enjoy capturing images from those moments and experiences as well that I can then revisit later on.
