What makes you happy? Why?

We regularly ask our interviewees what makes them happy because at the end of the day, what else really matters? We’ve highlighted some of the responses below.

The tactile delight of a soft juicy brush slipping over thick textured paper leaving a glorious trail of vibrant colour – how can than not make a heart happy? Giving myself permission to play with art supplies and let go of any expectation was one of the best things I have ever done for my mental health. These days we do so much digitally. Part of that is awesome, of course. I love efficiency and the ease that technology has brought but it has its down sides. Read more>>

It makes me happy to share beautiful moments with the people I love and to see them happy and healthy. It also makes me happy to be able to do what I enjoy doing most – being a singer, actress, and dancer. I’m grateful to be able to enjoy the work that I get to do and see my dreams come true. I love to feel at peace with myself, trust my instincts, and be confident in my choices. Lastly, it makes me happy when I get to celebrate all of life’s different moments. Read more>>

The things that make me happiest are generally any activity that gets me out in nature. And sharing those experiences with my wife and kids increases the joy I derive from them exponentially. Of course I also enjoy capturing images from those moments and experiences as well that I can then revisit later on. I have a huge catalog of pictures of my kids that I generally don’t share much of, but I often browse through. Read more>>
