My work life balance has changed so much over the last 2 years! I worked full time 2 years ago today, and now I get to make my own schedule! I love being able to balance child care with work and schedule things in a way that allows for me to be at my children’s events and activities. I think a lot of people see work and life as this constant balancing act, trying to find the perfect ratio to feel successful in both. I used to carry a lot of guilt around that, especially when work got intense. But over time, I realized it’s less about balance and more about intentionality—moments and communication.

It all starts with communication. I talk with my partner and together we figure out the best course of action and what really matters to us, what moments matter. That shared understanding allows us to be more present and aligned in how we spend our time. Read More>>

Work life balance is a tricky concept. For so long I lived by the mantra “I can rest when I am dead”. It helped me build a successful business throughout the years. That has changed since becoming a father. I have 2 little girls. A 2 1/2 year old and a 16 month old. Work life balance is now the most important thing to me.

I look as work life balance as a practice of putting boundaries on your time and being strict on them. Boundaries are set to allow me to be the Dad I want to be, while still trying to maintain the hard working values that have made me successful.
