Through our work we have had the good fortune of seeing firsthand how success comes in every shape, size, color, faith, and orientation. More importantly we’ve learned that success is often the result of people embracing their unique backgrounds and so we’ve asked the community to tell us about their background and how it has impacted where they are today.

I was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. Both my Grandmother and Granddad’s relatives came to Colorado in special ways. My Grandmother was a little girl when she came with her family in a covered wagon from Springfield, MO in the early of the 1900’s. They first came to Flagler. From there a time in Wyoming, then back to a family farm in Arvada, then Perry Park. My Granddad’s family came from Sweden to Denver in the 1880’s. I remember hearing stories about the good old days. Simpler times when Denver was young. I guess these stories gave me a love of history, and all things old. Growing up in Denver, spending time with family in the mountains nourished a love of this wonderful state and its beauty. Read more>>

I am originally from northern Colorado and grew up in a blended family. I have one brother and six sisters. I would say my background has had a big influence on who I am today. My childhood was a bit chaotic which is probably why I like to plan my day and have goals. However, as I get older, I realize trying to have so much control can be limiting and stressful. Now that I am homeschooling my children and working around their schedule, I have learned to be more relaxed about my plans. Read more>>

I was born in California and moved back and forth from California to Colorado a few times but I was raised in Colorado most of my life and would consider it home. While living in California I got into acting from one of those ‘Great Famous Scams’ and loved the idea of making movies but hated the idea of being in front of the camera. It wasn’t till I moved back to Colorado when I discovered my love for making movies behind the camera. Cinematography, Editing, VFX. All of it was super exciting to me. Read more>>

I grew up in a small town in Indiana, with two brothers born 12 months before me and 20 months after me! My parents are the two hardest working people I know. My dad was a brick mason who woke up each morning at 4:30 to get to his job site, often working overtime, holidays and double shifts. My mom stayed home with the 3 of us until I was around 12 when she earned her real estate license. She never once missed a sporting event or special activity for any of us, while at the same time working her way to being one of the top sellers in northwest Indiana. She is still working now at the age of 74! I like to think that I inherited my parents work ethic and hustle, but I would be lucky if I even have half of it!. Read more>>

Before moving to Colorado in 2010, I grew up throughout New England and Northern California. Moving so frequently, forced me to continually adapt to new situations and how to quickly befriend new people. After high school graduation, I attended Berklee College of Music before George Washington University, eventually majoring in Sports & Event Management. I love events and got quite a bit of experience planning museum openings and concert series to interning at the Tampa Super Bowl. Read more>>
