We had the good fortune of connecting with Annalicia Magdaleno and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Annalicia, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Starting a business for me was more than just an opportunity to be my own boss. I wanted to take my time on really understanding what I wanted the brand to stand for, who I was, and where I wanted to focus within the industry. At the time, I was stuck in a position where there was no room left to grow. I was restricted on the services I could provide and never really felt I could be myself which created a lot of mental blocks for me. Venturing out on my own was solely for my own growth. I always hoped to be a part of something more, something different.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Proud to just be able to love what I do and make people feel their best. I’m thankful that I’m able to show my daughter that following your passion and trusting yourself is possible. Even with odds against you, your goals are obtainable. It’s extremely important for me to allow her to also be a part of this journey so she can see women are resilient. I want her to see every part of it. I come from a line of strong women and I hope she continues to believe in herself with whatever she decides to pursue in her future.

Think about your favorite people dropping by your house everyday to catch up and getting paid, that’s how I ultimately see my busy days. I’m excited to finally make the bigger decisions, guiding myself through these smaller visions that come to life and showing people how exciting the beauty industry really is. Body image, self love, and acceptance was not easy for me. Vulnerability started with myself in all of this. I take the internal growth personally, that’s what allows me to provide the experience I can for my guests. When I grow, the business grows. It’s a privilege to be able to know the women I do and be invited into their journeys as well and that’s the best part of my job! I enjoy the genuine connection you can build with people and to be able to do that through my purpose has been overly fulfilling. I try to provide services I would want to see more of and that’s what kind of what drove me to indulge in more than just skin. People wants to see results, they want to see people like them with similar skin issues or body types. Everything I offer has been a journey I have taken myself through so I understand exactly how to bring these treatments to the room and educate my guests.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Ahh! I’m always down for good food and conversation. I’d say a perfect weekend would include one of my favorite hikes, St. Mary’s glacier or Seven Falls, some shopping and a good dinner. I love cherry creek north and the wash park area as well for some good views and shopping. I’m always finding an excuse to try a new restaurant or have some drinks. I’ll take anything with a rooftop or city view. Denver is growing so fast, so there’s always something new to check out.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
A big Thank You to God and my family as they have been my entire backbone throughout this venture. I’m forever grateful to have that consistent push in my life. Shoutout my best friend Marissa too, she has also played a major role in my journey as she was the one who helped me start my education in the beauty field. We’ve always had the one of the strongest connections I’ve ever gotten to experience professionally, spiritually and mentally. I’ve got good people in my life, that’s never to be taken for granted.
