We had the good fortune of connecting with Chin Ly and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chin, what do you attribute your success to?
Taking risks and accepting failure! Throughout my life it’s been mostly downs however, without those obstacles I wouldn’t be who I am today. I’ve had a lot of failure and mistakes in my life, but going through those has shaped my success. Not being afraid to take risks and coming to terms with the decisions that didn’t quite benefit you at that time. Explore, learn, fail, and keep on putting one foot in front of the other.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m a full time REALTOR, this was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Not only do I get to help people make one of the biggest investments in their lifetime, but I get to be a part of the journey with them! If you’ve ever bought or sold a home, you know how emotional it can get and I love being there with people for that. Being the one they go to for all things related to real estate is so rewarding because that just means they trust you. This is also one of the most challenging careers I’ve been in too! This isn’t an instant gratification career, I’ll tell you that. You have to hustle and overcome adversity like you’ve never had. How hard you’re willing to work, ultimately dictates your success. You could work your ass off and still not see a check for months, but at the end of the day its what you do now that will build your empire later. You just need to have the grit to keep on pushing through and what waits at the end is very rewarding! There’s many times where you’ll have to get out of your comfort zone. It’s like drinking from the fire hose, there’s so much that this field requires and it can get very overwhelming. I wouldn’t be where I am in my career if I didn’t get out of my comfort zone. There were many times where I felt lost and questioned if this was for me, but I had great mentors and resources that kept me going. Most importantly, you’re going to make mistakes! You’re not perfect, but if you’re willing to learn from your mistakes and be better, that’s all you need! If you can stick it through you’ll not only be successful, but you’ll gain life long friends that will let everyone else know that you are the most reliable agent out there!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Born and raised in CO I’ve got the best experience for us!

Monday:
Breakfast at Snooze, they have the best breakfast scenery and breakfast food around! It’s a fun scene and the staff really make you feel welcome. The food is top of its class! You get the feeling that when your food is made you can tell they care about the food they put out!

Tuesday:
Have lunch at an amazing Sushi restaurant called Sushi Den. This place is the best Sushi restaurant in CO. The owner really emphasizes on fresh and let me tell you, you can tell the difference. The quality is the best I’ve ever had!

Wednesday:
Activities at Wash Park! I love going to Wash Park to socialize and get involved in all the types of sports there! Mainly Volleyball and some spike ball. They have nets set up across the whole field! You find a spot, have some drinks, and join whichever net!

Thursday:
In the evening there’s a great spot called The Golden Mill. It’s a beer hall with many different options of food there, ranging from; Sushi, BQQ, Tacos, and even ice cream! Plus its in downtown Golden, you can bet the views are going to be amazing!

Friday:
We have to go to Glenwood Springs, the drive is pretty and we have to go to the very well known, Hanging Lakes. It’s exactly what it sounds like. You hike up the mountain and at the top there’s a lake with a waterfall, definitely a CO bucket list to check off! Then we visit the hot springs after!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My mother is the number 1 driving factor for my ambition, but the biggest supporter would be the love of my life, Maddie! To keep it short, she’s been there for me at my lowest point in life and continues to be my number one everything! My other shoutouts would be to my mentors, team leaders, friends, Rodney and Sarah! Little shoutouts would be Brian and Richard!
