We had the good fortune of connecting with Maria Cebrian and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Maria, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I am a mission-driven entrepreneur with a very unique human-first approach to businesses, and my goal in life is to build companies that make an impact on the well-being of our planet, our most precious resource. I have always loved nature and animals, and I knew the best way I could support the planet was to go vegan. I started my journey by going vegetarian and then when she tried to go fully vegan, she started feeling a bit tired or foggy. She is a long distance mountain runner and she was worried I was not getting all the nutrients I needed. So I started taking 6 different supplements packaged in all this plastic, and found out the pills weren’t even vegan and were sourced from who knows where. Then, I learned that every year, the US supplement industry creates 1.8 billion plastic pill bottles, and kills 24 billion animals, damaging the most important ecosystems on our planet. It was appalling!

It was then that I set out to simplify and complete vegans’ nutritional needs with the most sustainable and ethical supplements on earth!

What should our readers know about your business?
Every year, the US supplement industry kills 24 billion animals and creates 1.8 billion plastic pill bottles. We are here to change that! Terraseed creates vegan dietary supplements that are sustainably sourced and are packaged in the first fully biodegradable pill bottle.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love the mountains near Denver. The Rockie Mountains National Park is just amazing. I really enjoy the hike to the Emerald Lake!
