We had the good fortune of connecting with Nancy Pickard and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nancy, how does your business help the community or world?
Doing My Part to Help the World I am a master integrative life coach. My passion is helping people uncover their disempowering beliefs and fears that are formed in childhood, buried in their subconscious, and hold them back from living the fullest version of their life possible. Because working one-on-one is not practical for everyone, I published a book, Bigger, Better Braver: Conquer Your Fears, Embrace Your Courage and Transform Your Life, to allow everyone access to my ideas, exercises, and processes. I also developed group work for those who want more than the book and can’t afford personal coaching. My vision is to bring my approach to the world by making it available to anyone who is change-oriented and believes it is never too soon or too late to live bigger, better, and braver. The world needs this work more than ever during this unprecedent time of confusion and alienation. The book is designed to reclaim hope and help readers revise their lives and perspectives. It contains a treasure trove of exercises and ideas to bust through the past and navigate life with clarity and confidence. Each of us has an innate gift to express. Living big allows you to make the most of your life and fill your time with amazing experiences. It’s transformative. It increases the joy you’re capable of feeling many times over. But the greatest gift of living big is how you feel about yourself when you do it. Bigger, Better, Braver explores the process of identifying and making decisions from the heart to foster better living. Dismantling one’s confining structures—a step that trips up many who want to change their lives—makes it possible to live a different future. It is a journey to self-love and self-worth, a journey we all need to take. I am passionate about helping those ready to live outside the confines of the comfort zone. If you are ready to reclaim your inner strength, fight for yourself, and stand up for who you want to be, I am here for you.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am a master Integrative Life Coach. I love what I do. My passion comes from seeing my clients make changes toward a happier, more productive life. I help them learn to be self-accountable and trust and love themselves more, which are my most coveted goals as a coach. No one gets to the Olympics without a coach. Why would our lives be any different? What distinguishes me is that I walk my walk and talk my talk. I am a kick-ass coach who holds clients accountable with love and compassion. I don’t judge my clients. I help them understand that to love themselves they must learn to align their personal commitments with their follow through. The key to my work is uncovering disempowering hidden beliefs from childhood, which in combination with corresponding unconscious commitments made to stay safe, keeps them stuck and playing small. All the wishing for a different life won’t make it happen until those beliefs are uncovered and new empowering beliefs put in their place. I am most proud of my book, Bigger, Better, Braver, which became an international best seller on day one. Writing the book was quite the excursion. And the audio book presented a separate challenge. Each step forward tested my own ability to live bigger better braver. Writing, speaking, learning the ins and outs of social media and book promotion, handling radio programs and podcasts, and sitting for an interview with the TV show Extra, repeatedly challenged me to step outside my comfort zone. It was continuous learning experience. I want everyone to know that their bigger better brave life lies outside their comfort zone. Everyone is 100 % responsible for making it happen. Most importantly, the juice is in the journey. Whatever vision you craft, many gifts and learnings are strewn along the road to the final destination.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I live in Aspen, Colorado. Every day is a gift in nature. I am an avid hiker and biker. Biking up Marroon Bells or to the top of Ashcroft are two of my favorite rides. Riding up to Reudi Reservoir is also beautiful. There are endless places to hike. Ajax Mountain is a killer hike, but you have the gift of coming down the Gondola. Other favorite hikes include Cathedral Lake, American Lake, Grizzly Lake, Lost Man Loop, Midway and Hunter Creek. There are so many great restaurants to choose from and many have outside seating that adhere to safe practices during covid. Among my favorites are: The Jerome, Meat and Cheese, Cache Cache and our local coffee shop called Local for an after-hike lunch.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a shoutout to Nancy Levin, who has been an inspiring mentor for me as both a fellow coach, entrepreneur and author. I have learned so much from her gentle guidance and am eternally grateful.
