We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Lindsay Regehr and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dr. Lindsay, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I was fired from my first job as a chiropractor, and at that point in time it seemed much easier to start a practice than to find another job.
It was my vision to open my own practice, but I thought I had a couple more years to plan it out, instead this gift of freedom to build my own practice was given to me sooner than expected.
The idea of building my own practice was so exciting because it meant I could practice how I genuinely wanted: chiropractic with a hint of sports recovery and a fun space where people wanted to hang out.
Why was that my idea? I have been an athlete my whole life, I have an extensive physical therapy background, and if this is what I am going to be doing with the rest of my life I better make it fun not only for me but for my community.
I also saw a gap in the market for chiropractic care that made the patient more than a number. I wanted the patient to feel like they were stepping into their friend’s house, receiving amazing treatment, and leaving feeling joyous and better than when they walked in.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Elite Lifestyle Co. helps all people create their ideal lifestyle through healing, education, and healing inside our fun and welcoming community. We take our patient’s health seriously, but we also form friendships and deeper connections which I believe helps people heal better and faster because there is an emotional component involved in pain that is released when someone really feels seen and heard. I am also a certified Integrative Holistic Life Coach which has given me the tools to ask better questions and get to the root cause of why the patient is holding onto pain in their body. In addition to chiropractic care, we offer dry needling, cupping, red light therapy and rehab exercises to help patients relieve their pain quickly. I also find that people are curious about what we do, but they don’t always know where to start. This is why we host monthly community events open to anyone who wants to get to know us. These events range from fun runs, to kids’ carnivals and everything in between.
Elite Lifestyle Co. is built on the foundation of community, and it does take a network to heal and be a fully functioning person. We have referrals for all specialties, and we are interested in taking care of you even if that means referring to another doctor that will be a better fit. We are your friends, and we want the best for you.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Meow Wolf – It’s an experience that you cannot fully describe so you must check it out for yourself
Golden Mill – great food selections and beautiful views
Upswell Dynamic Wellness – take movement class, recover your muscles using the Normatec equipment, and sip on latte and chat with your friends
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have so many people who have impacted my life! My husband Austen, who is my biggest supporter of pursuing my dreams. My best friend Chelsea Turano, who is a sounding board and has great insight. I have been in multiple networking groups including Level Up, WESOS, and Business Bosses who Brunch and they are all filled with amazing women who dream big and have been very resourceful.
