Meet Gigi Terrazas | Balloon stylist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Gigi Terrazas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gigi, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
Outsiders are unaware of all the planning, investing and creating that goes with balloons. It is not only inflate balloons and put them together. There is a whole lot of work that is put in to bring to life a clients vision. Outsiders need to know that this is a real job, we invest our money and time on making people smile and creating memories. Outsiders don’t know the time that is put to make people happy.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
This is a hard business to start, there is a lot of competition. Not only there is price competition also quality competition. The challenge has been getting my name out there, and showing the outsiders that I can be reasonable and have a beautiful job.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m a beer and wing girl. Any brewery and any wing place. It all depends on the time of year. Summertime here in Colorado is beautiful, we would go to lakes, bike rides anything that involves being out side. In winter time, that is hard to say, because if it’s snowing it probably cold and if it’s not snowing it’s probably cold too, lol.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a big shoutout to my husband Miguel, he has seen the good, the bad and the ugly in this business. He has been a HUGE part in buildupballoons.
