We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittney Bradley and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brittney, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
There is an insane amount of coordination and planning that goes into such a big event in your life like: your wedding, quinceanera, sweet sixteen, or baby shower. For any of these events there are at least five vendors but sometimes it can consist of dozens of different vendors. In order for these events to happen seamlessly, event planners like myself spend hours coordinating everyone on one timeline.

What should our readers know about your business?
I graduated college from the University of Nevada Las Vegas with my bachelors in Hospitality Management. I believe that the college degree and experience was what really helped boost my business. It is not easy to start a business no matter what it is, statically more businesses fail than not. I think that the best way to overcome challenges is to keep a level head and to remember its okay to ask someone for help. No person in self-made, they always have someone that supports them. The biggest and most important lesson I’ve learned along the way is you can not satisfy everyone. It’s impossible. All that matters is that you are satisfied with your work.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Canon CIty is such a small town, but there are some gems here. The most obvious are the tourist attractions that run our town like rafting, zip-lining, the Royal Gorge Route Railroad, and the Royal Gorge Bridge. For food, my favorite places to go are Itos Sushi (just a short drive to florence) and Mugs. If you like wine the place to go is the Abbey Winery. They have some amazing wines and the Abbey Monastary is gorgeous. For beer definitely go to Worlds End Brewing co.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My biggest support system is my partner, Alex Bradley. He has owned a small firewood business in southern Colorado for a few years and when we got together he 150% supported my crazy idea to start my own business. I always knew that I wanted to plan weddings and life events, but never knew how awesome running a business would be. None of this would be possible without the constant love and support.
