We had the good fortune of connecting with Paige Fleener and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Paige, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
With the direction 2020 was headed i knew I needed to bring joy. I went from working out 6 days a week and weighing my food to being stuck inside with no end date. It started with baking items I already had in the house since the stores were bare. I remember the first time I went to make macarons I pretty much gave a limb away trying to find the proper ingredients. I would try a recipe a day and boy it was bad. Most days would end with a few bad words and the promise to never touch a macaron again. However I would wake up and realize we still had nowhere to go so I would try again. I have a serious love/hate with how difficult macarons are to make. I finally got it down and boy it went from 12 macarons a day to a team of 5 working with me.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
We are Many Macarons and we were established in 2020 during one of the most historic years to date. We create small batch macarons right in Windsor, Colorado. We have a macaron kitchen that was built in my home that we bake out of 6 days a day. We believe in giving back daily. We love doing giveaways, donating to local charities and playing fun games daily on our Facebook. One of the best things we offer is called a “mac attack”, where a dozen fresh a gifted to a friend, stranger or family member to celebrate an array of occasions. I want to share my love and passion for macarons to the world. My goal is to get these shipping so everyone knows what they’re missing.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Pre-covid or post-covid? That is the question. Regardless I’ll give you the ideal way in which we would spend our time together. We would entertain a healthy balance of relax and play with our days due to the fact that we have a combined 7 children between the two of us. We would spend a few nights enjoying our front lawn where our kids could burn energy complimented by amazing home cooked meals and drinks. Conversation would be plenty and laughter would certainly bring the neighbors out to partake in the fun. We would take the family out to the children’s museum in Denver and hunt for a delicious local dessert shop. For date night we would enjoy the melting pot for a fantastic four course meal and also head to a nail salon to get our feet and hands pampered. A wonderful drive to the mountains would definitely be essential and if the cards played right we would find a show at red rocks.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a huge thank you and shoutout the my husband for the countless store runs, the hunt for almond flour was never ending. He is my biggest supporter and there for me from prepping batches to boxing and getting them delivered. I want to thank Vita for giving me my first ever bag of almond flour during covid. A big shout out to my family and hard working team that gets to see the good, bad and ugly. They are always there for so much more then just macarons and I love them all!
