We had the good fortune of connecting with Hilary Bresner and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Hilary, as a parent, what do you feel is the most meaningful thing you’ve done for them?
As a parent I want to believe I am shaping them as adults. My children have learned loyalty, respect and the value of healthy relationships. We talk a lot about our own support system and what we all need to succeed. I believe my children have learned what it takes to be a valuable person in society and what it takes to be a good friend and good brother. I am proud of these tiny humans.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Colorado. I work with adults and couples, and we talk about issues and work on ways to process the issues. I have learned along the way that everyone needs to process their own issues differently and we must meet the client where they are. Pushing them harder than they are ready for will not benefit them.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take them to the mountains for a lovely long weekend full of great food, spa treatments, skiing and lots of laughter. I also love going to the beach so we could travel somewhere nice and warm.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I started my business during Covid. I had such a feeling that people would struggle with the lockdowns, closed school, illness fears and issues with employment. I own and operate my own business and I love every minute of it as a business owner. I have attended many, many conferences and have read and continue to read medical journals to stay updated on all things mental health. My co-workers are very supportive of each other and we work very well together. I think Jessica Quick, LCSW was the most influential with helping me through the process of starting my first business.
