We had the good fortune of connecting with Arin Seidlitz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Arin, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
Many people are unaware that a lethal dose of fentanyl is equivalent to just 2-3 grains of salt. This means that when someone unknowingly ingests a counterfeit pill, believing it to be something like Adderall, they can be fatally poisoned within minutes. This is not just an overdose; it’s more accurately described as poisoning or even murder. The individual who made and sold the fake pill knew it was laced with fentanyl and knew it could and most likely would, be deadly. This tragic reality exclaims the need for awareness and education about fentanyl poisoning, central to our mission at XFoundation. We are taking conscious action in our communities to prevent such senseless deaths through education, support and community engagement.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I work for a startup on a mission to revolutionize the healthcare experience. From a young age, I have been passionate about transforming healthcare in American, recognizing it as a complex challenge with extensive opportunities for innovative solutions. Implementing technology in healthcare is challenging, but one of the most rewarding aspects in the current day of my career is developing an AI-driven risk tool to aid in the early detection of Opioid use Disorder. This tool significantly enhances patient care and provider efficiency by seamless integrating data, running algorithms, and delivering organized, actionable insights. Overcoming challenges like fragmented data, clinician burnout, and a one-size-fits-all patient experience required perseverance and creativity. My goal is to make a meaningful impact and improve healthcare quality and outcomes through compassionate, technology-driven solutions.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
It’s summer here in Denver right now! For a week long itinerary with my best friend, I would likely plan…

Sunday: We’d start the day with coffee at Prodigy before heading to brunch at Rupert’s at the Edge, which offers an amazing view of Sloan’s Lake and the Denver city skyline. In the afternoon, we’d explore the Santa Fe Art District for some thrifting and then meet up with friends at Washington Park for volleyball and games.

Monday: We’d take a scenic walk along the river starting from Cuernavaca Park, down tot Confluence Park, and then over to Union Station. This would be perfectly timed before catching an Avalanche game. We’d also check out McGregor Square and Milk Market, both fun marketplaces with lots of options and great energy.

Tuesday: A visit to the Denver Museum of Nature & Science is a must, followed by a late-night slice at Atomic Cowboy. DBC (Denver Biscuit Co) on Colfax is a cool spot with a pool table, offering a $6 slice pizza slice and beer deal after nine.

Wednesday: A happy hour crawl around RiNo (River North) would be next. we’d start at Los Chingones, which has a rooftop and lively atmosphere, then walk to Uchi for dinner, and finish at Death & Co. for a fancy, upscale cocktail. So delicious 🙂

Thursday: I’d plan for a fun concert at Larimer Lounge, my favorite music hall. after the show, we’d head to the underground spot meadowlark before ending the night at Cart Driver, which has an amazing late-night pizza deal with homemade hot sauces!

Friday: Morning coffee at Doppio, then lunch at Spinelli’s Mark for sandwiches, enjoyed with city views at City Park. A nice walk around the lake would follow. For dinner, we’d head to Cherry Tomato, an amazing Italian restaurant in the area.

Saturday: Brunch at Jelly Cafe followed by thrifting in the Capitol Hill area. To cap off the week, we’d head to Red Rocks for a concert, the number one music venue in America!

I tried to stay focus on the Greater Denver Area, but it is always worth the time to spend some time in the mountains in Colorado. Frisco is only a little over an hour drive away and offers hiking, paddle boarding and water activities, great food and in the winter, some of the world’s best skiing and snowboarding, of course!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give a heartfelt shoutout to Montana Gottman, our D11 sponsor, whose support and leadership have been instrumental to our mission since joining. Montana has championed numerous initiatives in schools within our communities, making significant strides through her collaboration with XFoundation. Thanks to her dedication, we have been able to provide lifesaving harm reduction tools like NARCAN in classrooms and cover athletic fees for students. These efforts not only promote physical activity but also help deter youth from engaging in street activities. Montana’s commitment to making a difference is inspiring, and we are deeply grateful for her invaluable contributions to this world.
