We had the good fortune of connecting with Eli Richardson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Eli, alright, let’s jump in with a deep one – what’s you’re definition for success?
There is one word that defines success for me and that is happiness, you gotta love what you do in order for it to be true. As long as you’re happy with what you do to me you are successful. If you you don’t love what you do why do it in the first place. You gotta be true to yourself and love what you do.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My recording name is DiLo Vico, there has been so many challenges to overcome in this field specifically music. It has been a journey to be able to create what you hear in your head that others may not understand, the one thing i can say that has helped me the most is just to have fun if you’re not having fun doing what you like then it just feels like another job. You gotta be able to have fun doing what you love most, because no one is gonna push you like yourself, you got to be willing to make sacrifices to be where you want and overall you have to be grateful for where you’re at.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There are definitely some go to places in the city that i always try to go to every chance i get, one of those places being downtown Denver, some of the better places to eat are downtown in my opinion. Anthony’s Pizza is one of my favorite places to get a good slice of pizza and i cant recommend it enough to be honest. Another one of those places being lookout mountain just the view alone up there is amazing and give you a feel for how the mountains here in Colorado are. We have all kinds of places that are worth checking out, Meow Wolf being another one of those places, not every state has one so being able to go an interactive museum is definitely worth checking out. The list can go on and on.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
If there is anyone i can shoutout it would have to be my grandmother Ida she has been supportive in anything I do. She is the one that shows me all the old school music that has shaped the way i create my own music and art. I would also shoutout one of my closest friends Mario (Vill6ixx) no matter what he’s gonna be there supporting me, we have been on this music journey together since we were little kids, so just to see each other thrive and becoming something is definitely a special feeling. Sounds crazy but one my shoutouts woulda also be to a podcast called “Unsubscribe Podcast” its a group of friends who started their own journey at different parts of their lives and have created a platform that reaches so many people, its inspiring to hear their stories about how they all came to be successful.
