We had the good fortune of connecting with Kayla Crane and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kayla, what do you attribute your success to?
The biggest factor behind my success is my husband. He’s always been so supportive and confident in me, he was the one who encouraged me to start my own therapy practice. He took on the business side of things, learning everything he needed along the way so I could focus on my clients. His belief in me has been a huge part of why I’ve been able to grow and succeed.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I run South Denver Therapy, a practice in Castle Rock Colorado dedicated to helping individuals and couples navigate life’s challenges and build stronger, more meaningful relationships. We specialize in working with couples, whether they’re facing communication issues, dealing with trust concerns, or just need guidance in reconnecting. I find immense joy in watching couples rediscover their connection and learn tools to build lasting, healthier relationships.
What sets us apart is our genuine, client-centered approach – everyone who comes in can expect a warm, nonjudgmental space to grow and heal. Building this practice wasn’t easy; there were plenty of challenges along the way, from finding the right office space to connecting with the clients who need us most. But I’ve learned that staying true to our mission and values makes all the difference.
One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned is that people appreciate authenticity and compassion. For me, South Denver Therapy is more than a business; it’s a space for connection, healing, and genuine support. I want the world to know that, above all, we’re here to help couples and individuals move forward, strengthen their bonds, and find hope along the way.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend came to visit Denver for a week, I’d kick things off with brunch at Snooze or Root Down. We’d explore spots like the Denver Art Museum, stroll the Botanic Gardens, and definitely hit up Comedy Works Downtown for a night of laughs. I love the comedy scene here!
We’d also spend a day at Red Rocks for a concert or hike. For food and fun, I’d take them to Avanti or the RiNo district for great bites and local breweries. And, of course, we’d squeeze in a mountain day trip to Boulder or Evergreen for some easy hiking. For the last night, dinner at El Five with its rooftop views would be the perfect way to wrap up a memorable week.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My husband Josh, my daughter Stella, and my son Camden.
