We had the good fortune of connecting with Madison Carpenter and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Madison, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
One thing people might not realize about the jewelry industry is how much work goes into creating each piece by hand. From designing and shaping to soldering, polishing, and perfecting the details, every step takes skill, precision, and a lot of time—even for the simplest designs!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My work focuses on handcrafted sterling silver jewelry, blending simple, timeless designs with bold statement pieces. What sets me apart is my dedication to craftsmanship and creating pieces that feel personal to the wearer. Every design is made with care and intention, which I think resonates with people who value unique, handmade items.

I’m especially proud of how far I’ve come in the last 5 years as a silversmith. It’s been an incredible journey—from learning the basics to developing my own style and creating my own jewelry brand. It hasn’t always been easy; there have been plenty of challenges, from mastering technical skills to navigating the business side of being an artist. But I’ve learned to embrace the process, adapt to setbacks, and stay true to my creative vision.

One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is to trust my instincts and value the connections I’ve made through my work. Hearing how my pieces become part of someone’s story is what keeps me inspired.

What I want the world to know about my brand is that every piece I make is more than just jewelry—it’s a little piece of art, made with care, intention, and a whole lot of heart. My story is about staying passionate, staying curious, embracing sisu—the grit and determination to keep going—and sharing my love of craftsmanship with others.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’d start with breakfast at On and Off and coffee at Steam. We’d hit up Red Rocks and Golden for some outdoor exploring, then grab drinks at Union Lodge No. 1—they’ve got the best mocktails and cocktails. For a chill night, we’d play darts or pool at Candlelight Tavern, the best dive bar in the city. On day two, we’d drive out to Nederland for the best pizza at Crosscut Pizza. It’s a mix of good food, drinks, and fun spots to check out!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d love to give a shoutout to Christina Terry with the Vibe Artisan Market. She’s been such an incredible supporter of local makers and artists, creating spaces where we can share our work and connect with the community. Her dedication to fostering creativity and collaboration has been so inspiring, and I’m so grateful to be part of the Vibe Artisan Market family!
