Meet Amy Wadlington | Christian Life Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Amy Wadlington and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Amy, can you tell us about a book that has had a meaningful impact on you?
One of the best books I’ve read as a creative entrepreneur is *The War of Art: Break Through the Blocks and Win Your Inner Creative Battles* by Steven Pressfield. It’s a straightforward and powerful read— (Bonus) I finished it in one day—and each chapter serves as a clear and direct challenge to overcome resistance – the battle of the mind.
Resistance, as Pressfield describes it, is the internal force that keeps us stuck: procrastination, self-doubt, or the endless excuses we make to avoid creating. As a creative female entrepreneur, I found this book incredibly relevant because it not only identifies resistance but also provides a mindset shift to overcome it in a simple and doable way. Each short chapter feels intentional, like a call to action to keep moving forward, no matter how difficult the work may feel.
What I appreciate most about *The War of Art* is its simplicity. It’s concise, yet every page offers practical insights that are easy to digest but hard to ignore. It’s a book I recommend to many of my clients and any creative who feels stuck, unsure, or weighed down by perfectionism or fear of failure. It challenges you to push through the blocks that hold you back and lean fully into the work you were created to do.

What should our readers know about your business?
I’m a Christian life coach dedicated to helping women who feel stuck and overwhelmed finally find clarity and step into their God-given calling. My coaching is more than just mindset work; it’s **Holy Spirit-fueled transformation**. What sets me apart is the way I combine practical tools with spiritual guidance, helping women break free from negative thought patterns, self-doubt, and fear so they can start living the abundant, purposeful lives they were created for.
I didn’t get here overnight. After being laid off from a 15-year career in digital marketing, I was at a crossroads—feeling lost, frustrated, and uncertain about the future. It was in those moments of surrender that I felt God leading me to pursue life coaching. I got certified and started my business, but the journey hasn’t been easy. There were many seasons of doubt, where I questioned if I was even qualified to help others. I wrestled with resistance, imposter syndrome, and the feeling of being unseen and unheard.
The turning point came when I stopped striving and surrendered it all back to God. I leaned into His guidance, stopped trying to “figure it all out” on my own, and started serving women in the way I knew I was called to, using my gifts, skills and talents that are unique to me. Through this process, I learned that breakthrough begins when we take every thought captive and replace the lies we believe about ourselves with God’s truth.
What I’m most proud of today is seeing the transformation in the women I work with. I’ve watched them go from feeling stuck, overwhelmed, and unsure of their next steps to waking up every day with clarity, purpose, and confidence in who they are and what God has called them to do.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned along the way is that challenges are often the very thing that shape us into who we are meant to become. It’s in the hard seasons where our faith is tested, our strength is built, and our purpose becomes clear.
What I want the world to know about my brand and story is that I’m here to help women stop surviving and start thriving. If you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or like you’ve lost sight of who you are, there is hope. You are stronger than you think, and your breakthrough is so much closer than you realize. I believe we are all created for greatness, and I’m here to help you find the clarity and courage to step into it.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting for a week, I’d make sure to show them the best of Castle Rock and a few of my favorite nearby spots.
Day 1 – Settle In & Explore Downtown Castle Rock
We’d start the morning at Oo-da-la-ly Coffee for the perfect latte, followed by breakfast at Pegasus Restaurant—their Chilladas plate is a must! Then, we’d spend the afternoon shopping at The Barn and The Emporium in Downtown Castle Rock—two of my favorite spots to find unique treasures. Dinner would be at 212 Pizza, where the pizza and vibe are always on point.
Day 2 – A Scenic Day Trip to Breckenridge
We’d hit the road early and head to Breckenridge, one of my favorite mountain towns. After wandering the charming streets, shopping local boutiques, and snapping photos of the gorgeous views, we’d grab lunch at Downstairs at Eric’s for some pizza and wings—because you can’t visit Breck without eating there.
Day 3 – Local Favorites in Castle Rock
We’d keep it closer to home, starting with breakfast at Snooze in Lone Tree. We’d spend the morning hiking Castle Rock’s Rock Park, taking in the beautiful scenery. Afterward, we’d refuel with lunch at Great Divide Brewery, then enjoy a relaxing evening at Courtyard Social, catching up over dinner and drinks.
Day 4 – The Lariat Loop & Evergreen
This day would be all about the stunning Lariat Loop drive. We’d stop for lunch at Beau Jo’s Pizza in Evergreen to enjoy some Colorado-style pizza (hello, honey on crust!). After lunch, we’d take a peaceful walk around Evergreen Lake, soaking in the mountain air and maybe spotting some wildlife.
Day 5 – Painting & Girls’ Night
Back in Castle Rock, we’d spend the day at a slower pace—maybe a cozy morning at Coff33 followed by some browsing in the local shops. In the evening, we’d head to Dream Tree Studio or Hawaii Fluid Art in Castle Rock for a girls’ night of painting, laughter, and creativity.
Day 6 – Relax & Recharge
After a week of adventure, we’d take a slower day to relax, grab brunch at Union, and perhaps visit a local spa for some self-care. In the evening, we’d have a fun, laid-back dinner back at 212 Pizza because it’s just that good.
Day 7 – Final Morning Together
For our last morning, we’d grab coffee (one last time) at Oo-da-la-ly and sit outside on their rooftop deck to enjoy Castle Rock’s charm and gorgeous mountain views. A final breakfast at B&B Cafe would wrap up the perfect week.
In my view, Castle Rock and the surrounding areas offer the best mix of local charm, outdoor adventures, and small-town vibes. It’s the kind of place where every day feels like a little escape.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mentor, pastor, and friend, Deborah for always believing in me even when I didn’t believe in myself.
