We had the good fortune of connecting with Olivia Braciszewski and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Olivia, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I’ve had a deep love for photography for as long as I can remember. It started with a mix of passion and purpose. I love adventure, the outdoors, and capturing raw, authentic moments—so combining those things into adventure elopement photography just made sense.

I saw a gap in traditional wedding photography, where couples who wanted something non-traditional—like climbing a mountain or exchanging vows under the stars—weren’t getting the experience they deserved. I wanted to give them something different. A way to document their love in the most epic, meaningful way possible.

I also wanted more freedom in my own life—traveling, exploring, and working in places that inspired me. Journaling my life through photos has always brought me joy and I wanted to do that for others as well.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart & what I’m most proud of:
What sets me apart as an adventure elopement and destination wedding photographer is my deep love for the outdoors and my ability to seamlessly blend storytelling with wild, breathtaking landscapes. I don’t just capture moments—I capture experiences. Whether it’s in a national park, skiing down a mountain, or a coffee date in a small town. I thrive on creating images that reflect the raw, adventurous spirit of my couples. I’m most proud of the way I’ve built a business that allows people to step outside the traditional wedding mold and embrace something that feels truly authentic to them.

How I got to where I am today & the challenges I’ve faced:
My journey to where I am today has been anything but easy. It took years of honing my craft, countless hours spent exploring the best locations, and fully immersing myself in the adventure elopement world. There were times when I questioned if I could make this dream a reality, but my passion for capturing love in the most epic settings kept pushing me forward. The biggest challenges came with learning the business side—marketing, pricing, and balancing creativity with sustainability. I overcame them by staying persistent, surrounding myself with an amazing community, and always putting my clients’ experiences first.

Lessons I’ve learned along the way:
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that success comes from staying true to yourself. There’s no single “right way” to do things, especially in this industry. I’ve also learned that connection is everything—creating an unforgettable experience for my couples starts with building trust and understanding what makes their love story unique. And, of course, nature is unpredictable, so embracing spontaneity and flexibility is key!

What I want the world to know about me & my brand:
Wander Out West isn’t just about photography—it’s about crafting experiences that people will remember for a lifetime. I want my work to inspire couples to break free from traditions that don’t serve them and embrace what truly feels right. Whether it’s in the heart of the Rockies or the depths of a National Park, I’m here to document love in its rawest, most adventurous form. At the end of the day, my goal is to give my couples the best day of their lives—one that feels just as incredible as the photos they’ll have to look back on forever.
