Meet Becca Cooper Leebove | Founder & Chief Brand Strategist, ShuBu Creative

We had the good fortune of connecting with Becca Cooper Leebove and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Becca, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
I want ShuBu Creative Group to partner with brands that make a positive impact. I want our team to continue to take on work that shapes culture, changes lives, and inspires people around the world. My ultimate vision is for ShuBu Creative Group to be known as an award-winning agency that helps fuel world-changing brands, through the stories we help our clients tell.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I founded ShuBu Creative Group in 2018 after spending 16 years in corporate marketing. Starting a full-service agency was always my dream, and today, ShuBu is a thriving branding, marketing, and PR firm.
Over the years, we’ve developed a special focus on nonprofits, purpose-driven organizations, culinary companies, real estate developers, and many other industries building their brands through brand clarity workshops, impactful websites, standout social media, consistent email marketing, strategic PR, and more. We don’t just create strategy—we execute it, bringing our clients’ vision to life.
We’ve supported hundreds of clients, including the Commerce City Police Department, Adams County Education Foundation, Sun Life Health, NexCore Group, Elkco Properties, The Pickled Beet, Savor Culinary Services, Chef Deb, and more. One of our proudest achievements was helping Commerce City PD launch an employment marketing campaign that boosted applications by 300% and enabled them to hire 30 new officers—strengthening their ability to protect the community.
What sets us apart is our expansion into offering full-service public relations along with branding and marketing services. We help clients not only build brands but also gain credibility through media coverage.
We have also developed a signature Brand Clarity Workshop, an interactive, hands-on experience that aligns leaders and helps organizations move forward with confidence and impact. It is our goal to make sure our clients’ brand stories are clear and impactful before we share their stories with the world.
ShuBu has all five of Denver’s Division of Small Business Opportunity certifications, along with awards from Expertise.com, Stellar Business, Best of Centennial, and the Denver Business Journal.
Like any entrepreneur, I’ve faced challenges—cash flow, staffing, and mastering sales were steep learning curves. But those lessons turned me into a stronger leader with a solid sales pipeline, a passion for business development, and resilience I never imagined I’d need as a creative.
If I could offer advice to new business owners, it would be this: master the sales process early. If you have a brilliant product or service, but struggle to communicate it clearly and sell it, you face a significant challenge.
Looking back, I’m in awe of what we’ve built, a portfolio of impactful brands, a reputation for results, and a business I couldn’t have grown without a talented team, supportive mentors, and my husband and kids by my side.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’d say check out one of Denver’s oldest establishments, Charlie Browns, for a fantastic Greek meal and a fabulous piano bar. Check out a show at the Denver Center for Performing Arts; the venue is beautiful. Don’t miss out on seeing one of the mountain towns, such as Winter Park or Breckenridge. Walk around Cherry Creek North, do some shopping, and grab lunch at the Cherry Cricket. Don’t miss out on going to a Rockies or Avs game either! Last, if you haven’t been to a Meow Wolf in another city, that is a unique place to visit as well. Denver has so much to offer, and it has grown tremendously in the past 10 years. I grew up in Denver and have lived here my whole life.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There have been so many mentors, coaches and people who have helped and encouraged me along the way. One person whom I don’t give nearly enough credit to is Rachel Lubchansky. She was my VERY FIRST coach and business strategist. She really helped me build the foundation of what exists today. Rachel helped me build a firm foundation, which was critical to my success as a business owner.
