We had the good fortune of connecting with Morgan Murray and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Morgan, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I started CleanCircle because I saw a huge gap in recovery support. Too many people leave treatment or try to get sober without the community, tools, or ongoing guidance they need to stay on track. I wanted to build something that is accessible anywhere and anytime, a platform that makes recovery support as easy to access as social media but with a real focus on connection, accountability, and outcomes. CleanCircle is my way of using technology to give people the same kind of support network that helped me, without barriers like location, cost, or stigma.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
CleanCircle is like Slack, Uber, and Zoom had a recovery baby, and that’s how easy it is to use. Slack is how we communicate, with our own in-app version in development. We have our own version of Zoom for live recovery meetings, and our coaches are paid like Uber drivers, earning how they want by setting their price per hour and working when they want by choosing their available times, with payments sent by direct deposit.

CleanCircle is a recovery platform designed to keep people supported long after treatment or from the very first day they choose sobriety. Our app lets users track sober time, connect with recovery coaches, join live meetings, and tap into a community that understands them. We’re on iOS, Android, and the web, making support available anytime, anywhere, without barriers like location, cost, or stigma.

What sets us apart is that every feature is built from real feedback in the recovery community, not guesswork. I’m proud that we’ve created something people genuinely want to use every day because it meets real needs. Getting here wasn’t easy. Building a tech company while navigating my own recovery meant facing funding hurdles, development delays, and plenty of doubters. I overcame them by staying committed to the mission, surrounding myself with the right team, and showing up every single day.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that recovery and building a business both come down to consistency, community, and accountability. CleanCircle exists to make recovery support as simple as opening your favorite app and to prove that with the right tools, no one has to do this alone.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting Denver for a week, I would make sure they got the full Colorado experience. We would catch a ballgame at Coors Field, grab a legendary mountain pie at Beau Jo’s Pizza in Idaho Springs, and spend a day rafting for some adrenaline. We would get out on the trails and go hiking just about anywhere in the Rockies because the views never disappoint. For a night out, we would head to 16th Street Mall for food, drinks, and people watching. Between the mix of city life, outdoor adventure, and great local eats, they would get a taste of everything that makes Colorado such an amazing place to be.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to Robert Myers, owner of Finest Auto Hail Repair, my girlfriend Christy, and my parents. Robert has taken his business from $2,000 to a multi-million-dollar success in just a year, and he has been a huge supporter of my own journey. He has helped me grow TechTenant into a successful company and continues to support the growth of CleanCircle. His drive, business sense, and willingness to help others have made a real impact on my life and my businesses.

Christy has shown me what true love is, what starting a family is all about, and has given me the strength to keep pushing no matter what comes our way. She has been there through the wins and the struggles, offering encouragement, honesty, and unwavering belief in me even when things felt uncertain. Her support has helped me stay focused, her love has kept me grounded, and her dedication to building a future together inspires me every single day. Having Christy by my side has made me stronger as a person, a partner, and an entrepreneur.

To my parents, thank you for your constant love, guidance, and belief in me. You have been my foundation through every stage of life, teaching me the values of hard work, perseverance, and integrity. Your support has shaped the person I am today, and I am forever grateful for the sacrifices you have made and the lessons you have taught me.
