Meet Jazmin Perez & Katie Tarin Rodriguez | Brand Co-Founders

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jazmin Perez & Katie Tarin Rodriguez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jazmin & Katie, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Our decision to start our own business came from a desire to bring more luxury into our everyday lives.
As first-generation daughters of immigrant parents, Katie and Jazmin grew up understanding the importance of hard work. While working from home, we became more aware of how our environment impacted us and realized how essential it is to pour into yourself first. Creating a space that feels good, looks beautiful, and supports your well-being is not a luxury. It is necessary.
Casa Blanca was born from that mindset. We wanted to create products that elevate the everyday, where atmosphere, detail, and intention matter. At the same time, we asked ourselves why not aim higher? Why not build a Latina-owned, woman-owned luxury brand that not only looks and smells beautiful, but is also rooted in clean, non-toxic, and vegan ingredients.
For us, it is not just about how your space looks or smells. It is about knowing what you are bringing into your home, what you are inhaling, and how it makes you feel.
That is what Casa Blanca is about. Luxury you can feel good about.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Katie and Jazmin have been best friends since elementary school. We grew up together, went to college side by side, and today we even work together in our 9 to 5 roles as Civil Rights Investigators in the legal field.
That shared foundation is what truly sets us apart. We have built a partnership rooted in trust, consistency, and years of understanding each other’s strengths. We are not just business partners. We have lived life alongside each other through every phase, and that shows in how we build Casa Blanca.
Professionally, our backgrounds in civil rights work have shaped how we approach our brand. We are detail-oriented, intentional, and grounded in purpose. We understand people, we understand impact, and we carry that into everything we create. It has not been easy balancing full-time careers while growing a business. There have been long days, late nights, and moments where we had to push through exhaustion and uncertainty. But we stayed consistent. We showed up for the brand even when it was inconvenient, and we kept aiming higher.
One of the biggest lessons we have learned is that growth takes patience. You will not see results overnight, but if you stay committed and keep moving forward, it will come together.
What we are most proud of is building something that reflects who we are. Casa Blanca is not just a product. It is a reflection of our values and our desire to create a lifestyle that feels elevated, intentional, and aligned.
What we want the world to know is that you can build something meaningful while balancing a full-time job and everything else life demands of you. You can create your own path, define luxury on your own terms, and build a brand that stands for more than just what it sells.
That is our story, and we are just getting started.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If our best friend was visiting, we would give them a full experience of both sides of Colorado. The city and the mountains.
We would start with the mountains, because that is a huge part of who we are and what inspires our scents. A day trip to Vail is always at the top of our list. The fresh air, the scenery, and that cozy, elevated feel is exactly what inspired scents like Vail Drive and Madera. It is the perfect reset. Back in the city, we love keeping things simple but intentional. Long walks through the parks near our studio around York and Colfax, especially near City Park. It is one of those places where you can slow down, take in the skyline, and just enjoy the atmosphere.
Food and coffee are a big part of the experience for us. We are always trying new coffee shops and finding our next favorite spot. We love discovering new sushi spots, but Sushi Den is always a go-to.
Throughout the week, we love creating moments that feel intentional. Whether that is a slow morning with coffee, a walk through a new neighborhood, or ending the night with a candle lit at home. For us, the best experiences are not always about doing the most. It is about creating an atmosphere that feels good, looks beautiful, and lets you actually enjoy where you are.
That is the energy we would want them to leave with.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would dedicate this to the Latinas who came before us. The women who worked tirelessly, often in difficult or unfamiliar environments, and still found a way to persevere. Their strength, resilience, and sacrifices created space for us to dream bigger.
And also to the Latinas who are watching us now. You can create your own path. You can take care of yourself. You can enjoy the luxuries in life and not feel guilty for it. You can aim higher.
That is something we carry with us in everything we build.
