Meet Charlene Janke | Esthetician/CEO

We had the good fortune of connecting with Charlene Janke and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Charlene, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I decided to start my own business because this industry can be very demanding, especially while raising a family. As a mom of four, it was important to me to have the flexibility to be present for my kids and not miss the little moments that matter most. A traditional 9–5 schedule wasn’t something I wanted long term. Starting my own business gave me the opportunity to create a career that allows me to balance both my professional goals and my family life.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What sets my business apart is the experience I strive to create for every single person who walks through my door. I truly pride myself on customer service and building genuine relationships with my clients. To me, it’s about so much more than just providing a service; it’s about creating a space where people feel safe, comfortable, heard, and confident in the person taking care of them.
From the moment someone walks in, my goal is to make them feel welcomed and cared for. I pay attention to the little things because I believe those details matter. I want every client to leave not only feeling beautiful and refreshed, but also feeling valued and connected – almost like they’ve made a new friend.
Building my business hasn’t always been easy. Like many entrepreneurs, I’ve had to balance family life, long hours, uncertainty, and the pressure that comes with building something from the ground up. But through those challenges, I’ve learned the importance of consistency, authenticity, and truly caring about the people you serve.
More than anything, I want people to know that my brand is rooted in connection, trust, and creating an experience that makes others feel their best inside and out.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend came to visit for a week, I’d want to give them a little bit of everything — great food, nice views, fun nights out, and some relaxing moments in between. I’d definitely start with showing them some of my favorite local coffee shops and brunch spots because I’m a big believer that good conversations always happen over coffee.
We’d spend time exploring local restaurants, patios, and hidden gems around the city, especially places with a fun atmosphere and great cocktails or wine. I’d also make sure we got outside and enjoyed the scenery — whether that’s a day in the mountains, walking around local markets, or just enjoying Colorado sunsets.
I’m also someone who loves balance, so the trip wouldn’t be nonstop chaos. There would definitely be a self-care day mixed in with facials, shopping, and relaxing because sometimes the best memories are made slowing down and just enjoying each other’s company.
What I love most about this area is that there’s truly something for everyone. You can have a laid-back day, an adventurous day, or a dressed-up night out all within the same week. The people here are welcoming, the food scene is growing so much, and there’s always something new to discover.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I know it may sound cliché, but without a doubt, my husband deserves the biggest shoutout. He has been my rock through every stage of this journey. From the very beginning, he encouraged me to dream bigger, push harder, and believe in myself even when things felt uncertain.
He helped me build this business from the ground up and stood by me through the long hours, school, licensing, and the sacrifices that came with starting over while raising our family. He carried so much of the mental and emotional load when I made the scary decision to leave a stable job and create something from nothing.
Most importantly, he saw the vision before it became reality. Having someone believe in you that deeply makes all the difference, and I truly would not be where I am today without his love and support.
