We had the good fortune of connecting with Kaitlin Boyd, LCSW and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kaitlin, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Authenticity has been the most important factor behind the success of my therapy practice. My primary goal is to connect with clients on a real level: heart-to-heart. From here, real change and hope is born.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am most excited about providing a safe and understanding space for clients that identify as empathic, highly sensitive, or generally are the “givers” in their relationships. They have a multitude of strengths, including the ability to feel deep compassion for others and to think critically about the world we live in. But they can also struggle with feeling misunderstood and can develop low self-confidence after focusing so much of their time and attention on others. I light up when these clients get in touch with their own sense of self and ooze the confidence and self-trust they have been looking for.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them to see a show! One of my favorite things about Denver is being able to see live music any night of the week.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
A loud and proud shoutout goes to the teachers and therapists that have gifted me life-changing healing experiences and inspired my approach to helping people- an approach that is dignified, human, and hopeful.
