We had the good fortune of connecting with Andrea Cummings and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Andrea, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
“Difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations” For us this means illustrates the hardship of the pandemic for our business and personal life. This quote reminds us to keep working hard, with purpose and intention to best serve our clients, no matter how hard the industry gets. It is heart-breaking to see small businesses close during this time because we know how hard-working, courageous, and resilient we have to be to make the decision of starting your own business to see it all crumble away. We know that we often need to go through the storm to see the rainbow and that is what we strive for every day!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My career has not been easy from the beginning, I arrived in the United States almost 7 years ago from Venezuela when I was 18 years old to study psychology because I believed in helping others be the best version of themselves. It has been hard to adapt to a new environment and new language while leaving my family behind. But it was the help and support of my family that has kept me going alongside my motivation and purpose. After working in several industries, including higher education, real estate, and HR, I realized that my love for animals could be an option for my professional career. I have loved all types of animals my entire life and loved building and cultivating relationships with other pet owners because I knew how important it was for our furry friends to have loving care. But we wanted to go a step further and create a business where we can build a sense of community for pet lovers, and this is when we met amazing industry partners like Family Pupz, to help us create this sense of community and holistic care.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well, my best friend will absolutely have to be an animal lover, so definitely keeping that in mind we would do a lot of pet-friendly activities as well as a full outdoor Colorado experience, I think we could visit: – The Watering Bowl – The Red Rocks Amphitheater – The Rocky Mountain National Park for hiking and camping – Scenic Brewery tour in RiNo – Art and History Museums – Cherry Creek for dining and shopping

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My husband Charlie and I have tried to rebuild this business during one of the hardest times in our history. We definitely could not have done it without the support of our families and friends who believed in us. Also, we owe this business to our incredibly supportive clients and partners in the industry who have helped us stretch our own comfort zones to courageously move forward.
