We had the good fortune of connecting with Taylor White Moffitt and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Taylor, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
As a psychotherapist and yoga teacher I experience first hand the incredible power of the mind and human heart I feel as though this world needs all the healing, repair and service we can provide. Therefore, my work is dedicated to awakening the leader within all of us through the practice of self compassion and shared vulnerability. Each year I lead transformational retreats which serve as a catalyst for personal growth and connection. We offer scholarships so that ALL humans can have access to this incredibly healing work. At our most common ground, we each want to be seen, heard and met. The classes, workshops and retreats give people the tools to do that for themselves and in turn for others, bringing every human being into their greatness.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
In 2020, I launched Humanity First: a year long Embodied Leadership Training created to inspire those who are ready to live and lead in radical self expression. This year long course, taught through the 8 limbs of yoga, utilizes yoga asana, meditation, mindfulness, journaling, book discussions, podcasts, partner work and so much more to guide individuals inward to who they really are. Helping them know themselves better each day, increasing their willingness to meet their needs and wants and allowing them to show up powerfully, purposefully and fully in their humanity. I am most excited to be witness to the ways in which the Inaugural Humanity First group are already leading within their own lives and the community at large.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I imagine us starting the day by grabbing coffee at Red Rock Coffeehouse before heading to yoga at Radiance Power Yoga so they could connect with my community that inspires me on a daily basis. We’d grab lunch from Fresh Thymes or Flower Child and then head anywhere amongst the trails of Boulder.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My students and clients who so graciously risk, share and trust with courage that goes beyond definition.
