Meet Chanel Lilley | Owner & Creator of Simply All-Natural

We had the good fortune of connecting with Chanel Lilley and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chanel, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I come from a family of small business entrepreneurs. I grew up watching my dad and older sister pursue all kinds of different businesses when I was a kid. Everything from a bakery to a dress shop and even a family farm.

My passion and desire for holistic remedies, naturally made products and a chemical-free lifestyle pushed me in that direction. I have been making all-natural products for over 10 years and after moving to Colorado in 2020 I began sharing my creations with the community and Simply All-Natural was born.

I posted one product that I made on a local Facebook sales page and the very first customer who purchased from me loved what I made so much that she asked for more. I was and am beyond grateful for this sweet lady because this set the tone of encouragement that I needed. My product line grew from one to currently 30+ different items.

Simply All-Natural wouldn’t continue to be possible without the loving support of this amazing community.

Simply All-Natural is excited to be officially part of Colorado Proud. I am so grateful for the love and support of this state, my wonderful community, and the amazing people in it have shown me since moving here. I wear this badge of honor proudly.

Simply All-Natural Bath and Body Products are made without unnecessary ingredients, harmful chemicals, toxins, parabens, artificial fragrances, or perfumes.

I do not use preservatives, so my products have 6 months to a year shelf life. Only pure essential oils for therapeutic benefits and aroma to scent products are used. I do not always have everything in stock and ready to go, because I make small batches with love. I will try to accommodate special requests if I can. I love experimenting with new recipes and with that comes trial and error. I overcome these challenges by do-overs and lessons learned.

One thing I am most proud of is not ever breaking or even bending my integrity when it comes to the quality of my products.

I very much enjoy making Simply All-Natural items for my home and loved ones. It makes me so happy to share what I do with you and our community.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We love supporting other small businesses and would take anyone visiting during the summer to Backyard Market in Black Forest to meet all the local vendors.

The small shops in Downtown Colorado Springs known as Old Colorado City are also awesome, for yummy drinks check out Pikes Peak Lemonade.

For Lunch: Mod Pizza

For Dinner/Margaritas: Salsa Brava – absolutely my favorite.

For Coffee and Chai tea: Coffee Shack in Peyton. We also love to visit the little shops there.

For Dessert: Swirly Cow Frozen Yogurt in Falcon is awesome.

Sights and adventure-seeking: any of the local hot springs, Garden of the Gods, or Cave of the Winds.

During the winter: Santa’s Workshop and Scheels has a 65-foot Ferris Wheel, located indoors.

To relax: Book a massage at My Day Spa with Jules Yuen or head over to Mountain Massage for a lovely facial and massage by Brooke Martin.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Christopher Froebe, without the love and support of this man I wouldn’t be where I am today. He has helped continue to motivate me forward through any difficulties and self-doubt.

I have met wonderful friends here in Colorado that have also lifted me up and pushed me to keep going. Especially Amanda Rothbauer from Carosin Farms, she has been my personal business cheerleader. Always filling me with encouragement and positive praise.

The support and encouragement I have received from friends and customers from Peyton and Colorado Springs, has been tremendous. I know that God was looking out for our family when we decided to make the move here.
