Honestly, making the decision to go all in on Ivy Lane was the scariest leap. We both had great careers and young kids at home (during the pandemic while working full-time). There’s already an inevitable stigma that comes along with being a working mom, so there was a baseline level of guilt for even considering adding something else to our plates. However, we’ve learned that being fulfilled professionally doesn’t take away from our ability to be great moms, it enhances it. We know this can be a polarizing topic but we feel strongly that talking about it is important. We want women to know it’s ok to be scared – there’s light at the end of the tunnel. Read more>>

The hardest decision I have made in my life was to leave my family, friends, and country behind. I was born and raised in Venezuela. When I was completing high-school, I decided that I wanted to become a pilot. Like many Venezuelans, I had to leave my country to look for better opportunities. It was very difficult to leave everything behind. I did not even speak English when I came to the United States back in 2013.
