We had the good fortune of connecting with Aaron Ogundipe and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Aaron, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
My business help the community by ensuring laboratories are reporting high quality results for their patients. This in turn ensures patients get the best quality care and are able to get back to great health quicker.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
By trade, I am a Clinical Laboratory Scientist with a strong suit for Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology (set-up), Liver Transplant Surgery, Point Care Testing, Travel Logistics, and Medical Consulting.
I started in the field of Laboratory Diagnostics in 2016 by attending the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.
In 2018 I graduated with honors and began working at UT-Southwestern Medical Center(a top 25 US hospital) and Methodist Dallas Medical Center ( a leading top ten hospital in the State of Texas).
In 2020 I left the Dallas city lifestyle for a country-paced lifestyle and became Interim Lab Manager at CHI St. Joseph’s in College Station. After Interim Manager duties and back into benchwork, I stepped out of my comfort zone and began doing laboratory consulting for AlphaSights, GLG, Coleman Research Group, and more.
In 2021 my consulting took me to consulting and opening a COVID-19 testing clinic. To date, we have tested over 100 patients and counting.
In 2022 I became a traveling scientist where I work and consult with facilities to improve their processes and solve staffing challenges.
Throughout the rest of 2023, I plan on providing my services to as many facilities and operations as possible.
I spend most of my free time brainstorming, traveling, hiking, snowboarding, making new social and professional connections, working out, learning new topics, investing and making a positive difference in the lives of those around me.
Lessons I’ve learned along the way are work hard, be nice to people, connect with as many people as possible, relationships are the glue to everything and take risks.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If this is in Denver I would start out in Breckinridge for snowboarding and skiing. Rent out a home or townhome and enjoy that spot. Eat tons of home cooked meals there and enjoy time with my friends there. If they want to go out I would take them to Cecilia’s Cocktail Bar.
After that I would hop in the truck and go off-road in Rifle, Colorado. There are tons of beautiful off-road trails and road leading up and into Wyoming. We would camp at camp spots alongs the way.
After that I would go back into downtown Denver and hit up restaurants in downtown Denver and then spend time at home with my closest friends.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Oh for sure. One I got to give a shoutout to God. He’s kept me alive and on the right path this whole time.
My family parents and sisters for being supportive and there for me.
My closest friends. We have all leveled up some more the others but we can always sit back and work on refining and building our ideas.
My mentors. Too many to name.
