We had the good fortune of connecting with Adalia Crist and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Adalia, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
I am currently working two jobs at the moment, and I am balancing my home and social life with it, which can make things pretty crazy. Due to my busy schedule, I have to adapt and change my schedule a lot in ordered to get things done. I like to approach my days with a plan; figure out all the things I need to get done that day and work it in with my normal working routine. I allow time for all the things that are important to me, which allows balance in my life.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am a virtual assistant, which is a person who helps people with managing their businesses and taking on tasks for them. The great thing about this job is I can do it anywhere and is very helpful with someone who has a busy schedule. I am new to the virtual assistant, but the journey has been great and I have been able to meet so many great people and learn so many new things. The hardest part about this job is that you are in charge of your success and how well you want to do. It also can be difficult to get yourself out there and finding clients. Despite how hard it gets, it’s always best to just keep going even if it seems like the stuff you’re doing is pointless. I am taking up being a virtual assistant right now during my gap year before I go to college. I was attracted to this job because if I work hard now and get my clients built up I should be able to have this job during college and not be overwhelmed with bills.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Denver is such a fun place to visit, and it seems like every time you go to Denver there is something new to do. For activities, I would take them to the Denver art museum, and the Van Gogh exhibit that is currently here. A super fun spot in Denver is level up, which is a fun arcade place that feels like a home away from home. You can never go wrong with a hike in colorado, and since fall leaves are coming, I would take them on a hike in golden gate canyon park, which was an absolutely beautiful location to see the fall leaves. For places to eat, I would try Oscar Blues, Little Man ice cream, and Pokeco.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My virtual assistant coach and the group I was trained with. Her name is Kailee Jayanne and has helped me with figuring out how to be a virtual assistant, and to keep trying my hardest every day. The group I was trained with also has helped me feel less alone on my virtual assistant journey.
