We had the good fortune of connecting with Amanda Ament and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Amanda, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind our success is the positive impact we bring to people’s everyday lives.
We are solving a problem that I was facing when I first quit sugar a few years ago: the food industry is packed with sugar, and it can be difficult to find healthy alternatives. Especially for the diabetic community and those with Hashimoto’s disease who are limited in their snack options.
We wanted to make sure that everyone had access to delicious snacks that don’t contain any added sugars or artificial sweeteners.
We’ve been working hard to create a simple, nutritious bar that tastes great and is good for you. In fact, SIMPLE bars have 85% less sugar than leading brands like KIND bars and Cliff bars.
For those who are looking for something simple, delicious, and nutritious! They’re also gluten-free, keto–and they taste amazing!
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m most excited about the response people have when they learn about SIMPLE bars.
After years of hard work and learning the food industry from top to bottom, it’s amazing to see people get excited about our brand. It’s even more rewarding when they try our products and love them!
There are so many lessons I’ve learned along the way, but one that stands out is: there will always be challenges, but they are just problems waiting for solutions. It’s always going to be ok!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The Great Smokey Mountains of Tennessee! Preferably during autumn to drive through and enjoy the leave-changing season- it’s breathtaking!
We would probably stay in Pigeon Forge- there is a cute ‘glamping’ in the middle of the woods called ‘Under Canva Great Smokey Mountains’ with countless hiking trails!
The Smokies has the longest alpine coaster in the United States, so we would head there for a few rides!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There were many people who have helped me get where I am today.
To list a few;
First and foremost, my family–for their love, support, and encouragements over the years. To my sister, Melanie, who joined the business and keeps me sane!
To Richard Lamb for sharing his time, answers, and guidance. To Aaron Ross for being supportive and sharing opportunities.
To my friends who have been there for me through thick and thin.
To those who do not know about my achievements but have always been there for me when needed.
