We had the good fortune of connecting with Amanda Vagnino Bartczak and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Amanda, what role has risk played in your life or career?
The ebbs and flows of real estate are innately risky and often out of our control, but I do believe that by holding strong ethical values and connecting, business will thrive.
I tend to be on the more introverted side, but as a Realtor you do have to get comfortable with putting yourself out in the world, so that has felt like the biggest risk for me. I have learned to set personal boundaries on what I will share publicly the risk now feels like another part of the job.
From a young age I had an independent, some would say rebellious, entrepreneurial spirit. I never envisioned myself behind a desk at a regular 9-5, or working for someone else. In that respect, I never felt like I was taking a risk, it is simply how I am wired. The risk was not going for it and being unhappy in a career or life not built on my inner trust.
What should our readers know about your business?
Buying and selling property can be an overwhelming process to anyone, but I believe that by breaking each step down and knocking it off the list, it becomes much more manageable. I consider myself a proactive communicator, straightforward problem solver, and competent and graceful realtor. I ensure my clients are well-informed throughout their experience. I view real estate investments as one of the most valuable assets you can have, for both financial security and life-changing reasons that often go well beyond the numbers. Throughout my career, I have witnessed my clients grow in incredible ways after making real estate changes. To me, that is what this is all about – elevating lives through real estate.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Between work, kids, and my preferred early bedtime, I rarely go out at night anymore so I’d build a plan with early day activities. Start with coffee and a quick breakfast at The Copper Door, followed by a morning at the Botanic Gardens. La Loma for lunch, a tried and true Denver staple, then hit Antique Row on South Broadway. We’d go to North County for happy hour/dinner on the patio. If there happens to be good live music shows at night we’d go to the Misson Ballroom or of course, Red Rocks. Otherwise, I am home by 9.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I am continuously inspired and driven by my fellow local mom entrepreneurs. Jennifer Oursler of Fair SkinCare, Jessica Hansmann an excellent Realtor and friend, Kristin Drake of Smith + Drake, and Angel Figueroa of Three Cherries on Top, to name a few.
