We had the good fortune of connecting with Amber Murray and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Amber, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
About 17 years ago, I found myself at a crossroads, deciding which path to take in life. I was 28—full of energy, ambition, and ready for something big. In the back of my mind, I always had a dream of starting a mobile business that would bring joy to people’s lives.

As a massage therapist for several years, I had already discovered how much I loved helping people feel better. That’s when the idea struck me: what if I could bring spa services directly to people’s homes? I loved the thought of creating a relaxing, feel-good experience that was also convenient and unique. So, I took a leap of faith—and my mobile spa business was born.

Since then, we’ve specialized in providing mini spa treatments for all kinds of events—bachelorette parties, birthdays, corporate gatherings, special occasions, and more. We also offer on-site wedding services for brides and their friends and families, including hair, makeup, nails, massage, facials, sugar scrubs—you name it.

And it doesn’t stop there! We even bring the fun to kids’ parties, creating memorable, spa-inspired celebrations for the little ones.

To this day, I still love traveling, meeting incredible people, and exploring new places through my work. Looking back, I’m so grateful I took that leap 17 years ago—and I’ve never looked back!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Growing up, dance was my first love—it played such a meaningful role in my life that I decided to pursue a degree in it. Those four years in college had a profound impact on shaping who I am today.

Even now, I continue to teach and choreograph for kids ages 8 and up. It’s my creative outlet and a space where I can give back. Through dance, I’ve learned patience, kindness, leadership, and the power to positively influence young lives.

I was also fortunate to spend a couple of years dancing in New York City, an experience that taught me resilience, independence, and how to thrive outside my comfort zone.

All of these life lessons—from discipline and creativity to confidence and connection—have helped shape the success of my mobile spa business. I still get to be creative, have fun, and make people feel amazing, just like I did through dance.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
f I were planning a trip through Colorado for a friend, I’d have plenty of amazing spots to share with them!

First on the list would be Estes Park—one of my absolute favorite places. (Okay, I might be a little biased… my husband grew up there! 😄) We’d spend the afternoon exploring downtown, enjoying lunch and browsing the local shops. Then we’d end the evening with a glass of wine at the iconic Stanley Hotel—such a magical way to wrap up the day.

Next, we’d head to Boulder for lunch at my favorite sushi spot, Hapa. After that, we’d take a stroll down Pearl Street, soaking in the charm while savoring some Häagen-Dazs ice cream.

For our final day, I’d take us on a scenic hike near Lyons, CO—a place that feels like a second home to me. We’d finish the day watching the sunset, ice-cold beers in hand, feeling relaxed and grateful for the adventure.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a huge shout-out to my amazing team! Their hard work, dedication, and support have been absolutely essential to the success of my business. I truly couldn’t do it without them. Grateful beyond words for each and every one of them!
