Meet Amy Kwak | Event Coordinator, Coach, Personal Trainer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Amy Kwak and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Amy, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
Being active and athletic has been apart of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up in Colorado in a family consumed by Motocross racing that started when I was 6 years old. We would pack up every weekend and head for the races or a camp trip with some of our best friends.
Racing and riding created a passion, an outlet, social connection, strength, and drive for me that have helped shape my life today. The passion that I was able to experience gave me a drive and standard for my life and my wellbeing that continues to push me forward. Having the understanding of where that came from for me, I want to help other people discover their drive and create a standard for themselves that will unlock their potential for new opportunities in a revved up, healthy life.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Throughout the years, my career has evolved and shifted, allowing me to seamlessly blend my diverse skill sets into businesses that I take immense pride in. With a strong background and a genuine passion for health and fitness, I have thrived as a personal trainer for the past 15 years, both full-time and part-time. The rise of remote training has empowered me to work from anywhere, providing valuable services to clients regardless of their location.
My decision to pursue this path was deeply influenced by my upbringing in the sport of motocross. Being a trainer has enabled me to work closely with athletes in this arena while maintaining my own health and relevance. Motocross has instilled in me a drive and a passion that have shaped my choices and growth over the years, offering a unique perspective that I love sharing with my clients.
From this, to further empower women, both newcomers and seasoned riders, I founded Girls Ride Too. Through this initiative, I create opportunities for women in motocross by coordinating private riding events, clinics, and coaching beginners, both on and off the bike.
Building my roles as a Personal Trainer and Coach with Girls Ride Too has required time, dedication, and consistency. Both roles are continually evolving, reflecting my own growth. There have been periods when I’ve needed additional jobs to fill gaps, as well as times when I could focus on my passions full-time. Each experience has taught me invaluable lessons that I have leveraged to grow my own businesses.
The most important lesson I’ve learned is to keep moving forward and to stay true to my core values. A quote that resonates with me perfectly sums up this sentiment: “Your smile is your logo, your personality is your business card, and the way you make others feel is your trademark.”

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting, I would take them out of the city 🙂 Mountain towns are where it’s at in CO. If we had endless funds and a truck full of toys, we would visit all the mountain towns, dirt bike tracks, mouintain bike trails, rivers, and lakes.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
All of my supportive friends and family.
