Meet Anastasiia Kravets

We had the good fortune of connecting with Anastasiia Kravets and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Anastasiia, why did you pursue a creative career?
I chose an artistic career because I’ve been immersed in art my whole life. I’ve never really been able to do anything else — it’s always been a part of who I am. Even outside of my main artistic work, all of my hobbies are creative in one way or another. I love that creativity has no boundaries; there’s always something new to explore and room to grow. What also inspires me deeply is how everyone interprets art differently—each person finds their own meaning and perspective in it.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
The journey has been anything but easy. I’m naturally very self-critical and sensitive to external feedback, which made the early years of learning to draw—and later, tattooing—both incredibly fascinating and deeply challenging. There were many moments when I wanted to give up. What kept me going was a structured approach, the unwavering support of my loved ones, and, most importantly, the kind clients who initially came to me as models to help build my portfolio.
Over time, with each passing year, I’ve gained more experience, more confidence, and a deeper understanding of myself and my creative voice. I’ve learned how to shape my process in a way that truly fits who I am.
Today, I’m lucky to work with amazing clients who come to me with powerful, emotional, and often deeply personal ideas. I form a strong connection with each person I tattoo. I fully immerse myself in every session—I give it everything I have. I believe any of my clients could confirm that.
What I’m most proud of is that I don’t just create images on skin—I offer an experience. It’s like a ritual, a therapeutic session infused with stories, emotions, and art. That’s the heart of my work, and what I want the world to know about me.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Since I travel constantly, there’s no way I’d stick to just one location! I’d definitely plan a road trip-style adventure with a mix of quirky, cinematic, and nature-filled spots.
We might start with Estes Park and the Stanley Hotel—it’s iconic, slightly eerie, and full of film history. Then we’d head toward Woody Creek, near Aspen, where Hunter S. Thompson lived. There’s a little bar and café there, Woody Creek Tavern, where he used to hang out. The place is filled wall-to-wall with clippings, photos, and art dedicated to him—it’s like stepping into a time capsule.
We’d rent bikes and ride through mountain trails with breathtaking views, or if it’s winter, we’d go ice skating somewhere scenic. I like simple, cozy food, so we’d either eat at a good steakhouse like Rodizio Grill or I’d cook dinner myself—maybe homemade pizza with sourdough I made from scratch 😅
It wouldn’t be about the fanciest places, but about moments with soul: the kind you remember because of the people, the stories, and the view.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my husband. He was the first—and for a long time, the only—person who truly believed I could achieve something through art. Later, when I started tattooing, he believed in that too, even when everyone around us saw it as just a hobby, not a real career or source of income. His support and faith in me gave me the courage to take it seriously and keep going, even when it felt uncertain. I wouldn’t be where I am without him.
