Meet Angela Bergfeld | Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Angela Bergfeld and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Angela, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
For me, ab303 photography allows me the opportunity to become the storyteller for my clients through each season of their life. I am deeply passionate about connecting personally with the families I work with. In doing so, I am able to showcase their uniqueness in a way that is authentic and memorable. It is important that the images and experience I create go beyond simply “taking pictures” and bring to life the personalities, relationships, and milestones of my clients. The most important factor to me behind the success of my brand is having the ability to capture each family by blending my experience in photography with a heartfelt approach, creating powerful and timeless photographs for my clients.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I would describe my photography as bold and emotional through the lens of natural light. I capture authentic moments with families, newborns, and moms-to-be through lifestyle and storytelling. I capture intricate details that add intimacy to my work and focus on candid moments with my clients.
I am excited to begin offering video alongside my family and newborn sessions as a way to expand documenting the unique moments to each family’s story and truly bringing images to life.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
There are so many beautiful must-see places in Colorado — it’s hard to narrow it down! If you are staying local, Golden is such a great town to explore. I would hike at West Mt Falcon Park and grab a bite to eat afterward at the Golden Mill. Exploring the local shops and farmer’s market in the summer is one of my favorite things to do with out of town visitors.
My favorite mountain town to visit within 1.5-2 hours from Denver is Grand Lake. We love spending summers and winters visiting our family friends by taking in the mountain views and heading downtown. Charlie’s is a must for lunch or dinner (especially in the summer with their patio overlooking the lake). Taking our daughter to the beach, paddle boarding, and renting a boat at the marina are all core memories for my family. It is such a family friendly downtown! The drive through Trail Ridge Road to Estes Park is only an hour and has stunning views for visitors to pull off and take photos!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give credit to my Grandpa for being our family’s storyteller. It has been a gift to have so many photographs and home videos of seemingly mundane moments that have become so important to me. He gave me the task as I grew older of “camera duty” to capture countless family gatherings. I learned the importance of a photograph from him; including the powerful ability they have to bring a moment to life, to grieve, and laugh at memories that, in most cases, would have been forgotten.
