Meet Angélica Ladino | Digital Content Creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Angélica Ladino and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Angélica, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
I am an online creator sharing my life on social media. 6 years ago, after graduating university with a law degree, I migrated to Australia at age 23 to learn English. The content that I create is aimed to motivate and inspire my audience to improve their life, whether that is by migrating to a new country, or by showing them that there are alternative ways to make a living. With each piece of content I share I always strive to leave my audience with some kind of good message or useful information that will guide them to live a happier and more meaningful and fulfilled life. It’s extremely satisfying to meet people and hear their many stories about how they have changed their life path after having serendipitously discovered my content while browsing social media.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
There are a lot of, for the lack of a better term, “disingenuous” creators online. I pride myself on not being one of them. I like to show the reality of life, the hard times, the ugly side, as well as the good times. I find fulfilment in the messages I receive from people that tell me they follow me because I am genuine, and also for the messages thanking me for spreading the information that may change some lives for the better. It hasn’t been easy to reach the level I am at now being able to support myself earning a living completely online but has been worth the hard work. There have been hundreds of people (complete strangers to me) who have told me I made a mistake giving up my law career to migrate to a new country and start over from the bottom. There are people who criticise me every day because they don’t understand how much work goes on behind the scenes of a single piece of content, whether that’s a video, photo, or blog post. They see “influencers” and think that it’s so easy to live like that without thinking about how much work it took to get there, to build and audience and to maintain their attention.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My husband, Beau, was the one who pushed me and supported me to begin working in the content creation industry 3 years ago, and to this day, he still supports me at every moment. To be honest, I never thought that this would become my career, but he saw my potential from the very beginning.
