We had the good fortune of connecting with Annie, Amanda Piper, Ramirez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Annie, Amanda, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
We started out as a Craft Vender in local Craft Shows. John, one of our spouses, had been collecting items for over 20 years and always wanted to open a store. We said we would help as long as we could also sell our Craft Creations as well.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
We are proud of our unique items we craft or restore/ refurbish. We Give “Old Items” new life. We do not consider ourselves “professional”. We just found ourselves in a position move our Fun Zen times to business setting. We have learned to compromise and to have patience with each other. We would like everyone look at the things around them and wonder what else they could be instead of just tossing them in the trash when they are no longer useful in the way they first intended.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well in our Small Community we are limited on entertainment venues. Our interesting places to see are Picture Canyon, Two Buttes/ Black Hole, and Carrizo Canyon. They are all neat places to explore, just remember to bring your sunscreen and watch out for wildlife. We have great small shops in our town to pick up gifts to take back to the family. They have everything from children’s items to fine art to furniture to even firearms for the hunter in your life.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We would like to Shoutout to our patient Husbands. They have encouraged, supported, cheered us on, and made us see the light at the end of the tunnel, when it came to starting the business. And, motivation to work hard and keep all the balls in the air need to keep it going.
